Dustless Technologies Vacuums, Dust Shrouds and Replacement Parts

What Does Dustless Technologies Make?

Dustless Technologies builds dust control equipment that catches debris at the tool instead of filtering it out of the room afterward. Three lines cover the catalog. HEPA wet/dry vacuums, the D1603, D1606, D1618 and D1619, run 104 to 138 CFM for general jobsite pickup, with a 2.5-gallon HEPA backpack for overhead and stair work. SlurryVac toppers drop onto 30- and 55-gallon drums so concrete crews pull wet slurry off a floor and dump the drum instead of a vacuum tank. The Buddie shrouds clamp to tools already on the truck: DustBuddie for angle grinders, CutBuddie for circular and worm-drive saws, ChipBuddie for scraping paint and popcorn ceilings, DustBull for drilling, FlatWork for slabs. The Cougar+ ash vacuum, from the company's Love-Less Ash side, takes warm ash out of fireplaces, pellet stoves and BBQ grills.

Which Dustless Tool Fits the Job?

Match the shroud to the tool and the vacuum to the debris. Dry grinding or cutting cured concrete produces respirable crystalline silica, so a shroud paired with a HEPA vacuum is the arrangement Table 1 of the OSHA respirable crystalline silica standard assumes, provided the vacuum meets the airflow and filtration the tool calls for. Wet polishing and saw cutting trade dust for slurry, and that is where a drum topper beats a standard wet vac on capacity. Scraping lead paint in pre-1978 housing needs point-of-origin capture under the EPA Renovation, Repair and Painting rule. Ash is its own problem, and the Cougar+ is the only unit here built for it.

Where Do You Buy Dustless Technologies Parts and Filters?

On this page. Alongside the machines we stock more than 170 Dustless service parts by part number: WunderBag pre-filters, certified HEPA cartridges, hoses in 35mm and 1.5", gaskets, filter support cages, motorhead assemblies, switches, scraper blades and soft cuffs. Filtration is why crews buy the machines. Silica and lead work is documented work, and NIOSH exposure guidance expects a published filter rating, not a guess, so a loaded cartridge stops the job until it is swapped. Parts are why the machines stay in service past year two. Ports run the common 1.25", 1.5" and 2.25" sizes, so the shrouds connect to vacuums already on the truck.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a dust shroud used for?
A dust shroud clamps to an angle grinder, saw or drill and puts a vacuum port right at the cutting edge, so concrete dust and paint chips go into the hose instead of into the air. It is the point-of-origin control OSHA Table 1 assumes when it pairs a tool with a rated vacuum.
Do Dustless shrouds fit my grinder or saw?
The shrouds are sized by tool: DustBuddie models cover 4.5-5" and 6-9" angle grinders, CutBuddie fits circular and worm-drive saws, and DustBull covers drilling to 4" bits. Check the shroud size against your tool guard diameter before ordering.
What vacuum do I need to run a Dustless shroud?
Any vacuum with a 1.25", 1.5" or 2.25" port will connect. For silica and lead work the vacuum also has to be HEPA-rated with the airflow the tool calls for, which is why most crews pair the shrouds with the HEPA Wet+Dry units on this page.
What is a slurry vacuum topper?
It is the motor, filter and lid assembly that drops onto a 30- or 55-gallon drum, turning the drum into the collection tank. Wet concrete polishing and saw cutting fill a tank fast, and a drum is easier to dump and cheaper to replace than a vacuum body.
Can I vacuum fireplace ash with a regular shop vacuum?
No. Warm embers can ignite paper filters and plastic tanks. The Cougar+ ash vacuum uses a metal hose and a filtration setup built for warm ash from fireplaces, wood and pellet stoves, fire pits and BBQ grills.
