Canister vacuums lose their attachments. They get left in a cupboard, in another room, or in the box the machine came in, and after a few months the machine only does floors. The TerraVac stores its on-board tools inside the canister itself, so whatever the job needs is attached to the machine that turns up to do it. Five speeds and a power nozzle cover the range of surfaces.

- 5 speed suction control - full power on carpet, eased back on rugs and hard floor so the head glides instead of gripping
- On-board tools stored in the canister - the attachments cannot be left behind, because they travel inside the machine
- Power nozzle included - driven agitation for carpet rather than suction passing over the top of it
- Automatic cord rewind - hold a button and the cord retracts, which is the difference between coiling it and not bothering
- Sealed HEPA filtration with large capacity bags - dust stays inside the machine, and two bags are included to start
