PRED-750 for Containment and Remediation Work

PRED-750 provides variable airflow for containment and room air filtration for restoration and abatement contractors, healthcare construction crews, and facility managers. Duct exhaust out of containment to run it as a negative air machine, or return filtered air to the room to use it as an air scrubber.

PRED-750 Airflow, Handling and Power Draw

It is built to be carried by one person, stacked for transport and chained on a single circuit.

  • 200–750 CFM Variable Speed — Adjust airflow to the space for six air changes per hour in up to 7,500 cubic feet.
  • True HEPA Final Filter — Filter air at 99.97% efficiency at 0.3 microns before returning it to the room or exhausting it.
  • Three Included Filter Stages — The standard filtration setup includes the F621 coarse pre-filter, H502 pleated pre-filter, and H161606-99 HEPA.
  • 35 lb With a Built-In Lift Handle — One worker can carry one or two units; units stack securely three high for movement on a dolly.
  • Draw of 1.9 A or Less — Daisy-chain up to five units on one 120 V / 15 A circuit through the control-panel GFCI receptacles.
  • Hinged Pre-Filter Door — Access pre-filters without tools and check the filter-change indicator on the control panel.

PRED-750 Applications and Environments

Use the PRED-750 for mold remediation containment, lead and asbestos abatement, or water-damage restoration. It also handles air filtration during healthcare construction and renovation near patient areas. Standard filters do not remove odors. For jobs involving odors, vapors, or gases, the optional VL1002 carbon filter replaces the H502 pleated pre-filter.

How many air changes per hour does the PRED750 provide?
At 750 CFM, the PRED750 provides 3.75 ACH in a 1,500 sq ft space with 8-foot ceilings (12,000 cubic feet). It provides 6 ACH in 7,500 cubic feet, equivalent to 937.5 sq ft with 8-foot ceilings. It meets the IICRC S520 containment minimum of 4 ACH in spaces up to 11,250 cubic feet but falls below that minimum in a space of 12,000 cubic feet. These calculations assume actual airflow of 750 CFM.
What particle sizes does the HEPA filter capture?
The PRED750 uses a true HEPA filter rated at 99.97% efficiency at 0.3 microns — the most penetrating particle size. It captures mold spores (typically 2–20 microns), asbestos fibers, lead dust, and fine construction particulates well above the 99.97% threshold.
Can the PRED750 be stacked in a van or storage area?
Yes. Units stack three high securely, so a stack moves to and from the jobsite on a dolly. The built-in lift handle lets one worker carry one or two units.
Does the PRED750 work as both a negative-air machine and an air scrubber?
Yes. In negative-air mode, the exhaust is ducted outside the containment zone to depressurize the work area. In air-scrubber mode, the filtered air is exhausted back into the space to reduce ambient particulate levels. Both configurations use the same HEPA filter system.
