The Abatement Technologies H502 2nd Stage Pleated Filter is a 2" deep particulate prefilter sold by the case of 6. It fits PAS600, PAS750, PAS1200, PAS1200UV, PAS1700, PAS1800, PRED600, PRED750 and PRED1200 machines, with one H502 installed per machine. It catches mid-size particulate before it reaches the HEPA filter. This slows HEPA loading and helps maintain airflow through longer jobs.
H502 Placement in PAS and PRED Machines
The H502 sits after the F621 fiber trapper and before the machine's HEPA filter; VL1002 is the carbon alternative for the same slot. For the PRED1200UV, check the part number: H502UVR and H502 are different parts.
- Slow HEPA loading with pleated particulate media that catches mid-size particles before they reach the downstream HEPA filter.
- Plan six changeouts on one machine or one change across a six-machine fleet with each case.
- Access filters without tools through a hinged prefilter door for routine replacement.
- Reorder the correct stage using part number H502 for the second-stage pleated prefilter, separate from the fiber trapper and HEPA.
H502 Applications and Environments
Crews removing mold-damaged materials or cleaning up after water and fire damage change the H502 as it collects particulate to help maintain airflow. During asbestos and lead abatement or occupied-building renovation, replacing loaded prefilters helps reduce the particulate reaching the HEPA filter. Crews working within hospital ICRA containment also need to replace loaded prefilters and match the replacement to the installed machine. The H502 is a particulate prefilter, not a HEPA filter.
