Air passes through HEPA filtration to capture particulate, then past the UV-C lamp, which inactivates bacteria, viruses, and mold spores carried on or through the filter bed. It moves up to 900 CFM on variable speed and draws under 3.5 amps, so several units daisy-chain on one 15-amp circuit. Choose the UV model over the base PRED1200 when an infection-control standard calls for a germicidal step beyond HEPA alone.
PRED1200UV Filtration and UV-C Treatment
HEPA removes the particulate; the UVGI lamp adds a kill step for pathogens that ride through or off the filter surface.
