The Abatement Technologies H2002 is a 2" deep, MERV 8 pleated particulate prefilter sold by the case of 12. It fits PAS5000 and PAS1600SHS air scrubbers and H2KM, H2KMA, BD2KM and BD2KMA negative air machines. It catches coarse and mid-size particulate before it reaches the HEPA filter. This slows HEPA loading and helps the machine maintain airflow longer.
H2002 Placement in PAS5000, PAS1600SHS and H2K/BD2K Machines
The PAS5000 uses two H2002 filters as first-stage prefilters; the PAS1600SHS uses H2002 in the second stage. H2KM, H2KMA, BD2KM and BD2KMA machines each use one H2002 in the second stage, after the H2001 poly pad.
- Reduce particulate reaching the HEPA. MERV 8 pleated media catches coarse and mid-size particles upstream.
- Maintain airflow longer. Prefiltration slows loading of the HEPA filter behind it.
- Stock up for filter changes. Each case contains 12 replacement H2002 prefilters.
- Reach prefilters through a hinged door. The PAS5000 has no-tools access; H2KM and BD2KM machines use a swing-out door with a cam latch.
H2002 Applications and Environments
Crews doing asbestos and lead abatement or mold remediation change loaded prefilters to keep catching coarse and mid-size particulate before it reaches the HEPA filter. During large-loss water and fire restoration, the H2002 needs replacement as it collects debris from cleanup work. Interior demolition crews also change loaded prefilters to help maintain airflow as work generates dust. For hospital ICRA work and maintenance in industrial plants, replacing loaded prefilters helps reduce the particulate reaching the HEPA filter. Match H2002 to the machine model and filter stage when replenishing supplies. This particulate prefilter does not replace the machine's HEPA filter.
