The Abatement Technologies H2001 "1st Stage Poly Pad" is a coarse, 1" polyester prefilter sold by the case of 50. It is the first-stage prefilter in the Abatement negative air machines listed below. The pad catches bulk debris, lint, fibers and drywall dust before they reach the H2002 pleated prefilter and downstream HEPA filter.
H2001 Fitment for H2KM, H2KMA, BD2KM and BD2KMA
Use one H2001 pad per machine in H2KM, H2KMA, BD2KM, BD2KMA, H2000L, H2000LA, BD2KL, BD2KLA and BD2KLV units. The PAS5000 lists H2001 as an optional prefilter, using two pads.
- Catch coarse debris early to help the pleated prefilter and HEPA filter last longer.
- Keep replacement costs down with the least expensive filter in the stack.
- Keep spare pads on hand with a 50-pad case for regular changes across a small fleet.
- Replace the polyester pad often to catch incoming debris at the first filtration stage.
H2001 Applications and Environments
Crews doing demolition or sanding drywall can change H2001 pads as they collect coarse debris, keeping that material out of downstream filters. During mold remediation or work inside asbestos and lead abatement containments, crews replace the pads as debris collects at the first filtration stage. Fire and smoke restoration crews using compatible machines also change these pads to remove collected bulk debris before it reaches the remaining filter stages. The pad does not replace the HEPA filter.
