The PF13 is the second-stage pleated media filter in the XPOWER X-2480A, X-2700, X-2800, X-2830 and X-2830U. It holds the fine dust that passes the mesh, which is what keeps the HEPA filter behind it from loading up early. Because this is the genuine XPOWER part it seats correctly in the filter track and holds the airflow rating the machine was tested at. A trimmed-to-fit generic leaks around the frame and costs you the CFM the job is billed on.

PF13 Replacement and Service Life

Filter life tracks the site rather than the calendar. A demolition or fire job can load a filter in days, while routine indoor air quality work runs for weeks on the same set.

• Replace when airflow drops. The filter-change indicator is the signal to open the stack, starting at the pre-filter.
• Replace in stage order. A loaded pre-filter starves the stages behind it and shortens HEPA life, which is the expensive one.
• Not washable. Vacuum it between jobs and replace it when vacuuming stops restoring airflow.
• Keep a spare set on the truck. A machine waiting on filters is a machine not billing.

PF13 Applications and Environments

These filters run in water damage restoration, mold remediation, fire and smoke cleanup, and construction containment, plus the IAQ work that hospitals, school districts and property managers schedule between occupancy. Restoration contractors document filter changes against the job file, so keeping the OEM part number on the invoice matters when an insurer reviews the claim.
