The NFS13 is the first-stage nylon mesh pre-filter in the XPOWER X-2480A, X-2580, X-2700, X-2800, X-2830 and X-2830U. It catches lint, hair, drywall dust and other coarse debris before it reaches the media behind it. Because this is the genuine XPOWER part it seats correctly in the filter track and holds the airflow rating the machine was tested at. A trimmed-to-fit generic leaks around the frame and costs you the CFM the job is billed on.

NFS13 Replacement and Service Life

Filter life tracks the site rather than the calendar. A demolition or fire job can load a filter in days, while routine indoor air quality work runs for weeks on the same set.

• Washable, replace when damaged. The filter-change indicator is the signal to open the stack, starting at the pre-filter.
• Replace in stage order. A loaded pre-filter starves the stages behind it and shortens HEPA life, which is the expensive one.
• Washable. Rinse it, let it dry fully, and put it back — replace it when the mesh tears or stays clogged after washing.
• Keep a spare set on the truck. A machine waiting on filters is a machine not billing.
