The DC-21-2000 is Mercury's largest high-speed burnisher, pairing a 21" apron with a 2000 RPM D/C rectified motor for maximum gloss output per pass. Compared to the DC-19-2000, the additional 2" of apron width covers more floor without adding speed — the two machines run the same motor and RPM, so the DC-21-2000 is the right choice when open floor space allows the larger footprint to work unobstructed. The front caster assembly controls pad pressure independently of machine weight, producing an even finish without the operator pushing down or pulling back on the handle.

High-speed burnishers in the 2000 RPM range work with natural fiber pads, white pads, or tan pads — never black, green, or blue pads, which are too aggressive at this speed and damage finish. The front caster assembly on the DC-21-2000 is the key pad-pressure control mechanism: it floats the front of the machine on a small roller, keeping the pad flat against the floor regardless of minor surface irregularities.
