AllerAir recommends the AllerAir AirMedic Pro 6 HD for serious indoor air quality issues in larger rooms and spaces. It has a 3.5-inch activated carbon filter and Super HEPA filtration. Exec carbon canisters contain 26–27 lbs, while Vocarb canisters contain 28–29 lbs. The listed carbon media surface area is 3,500 acres. Operating weight is 52 lbs.

Should I Choose Exec or Vocarb Carbon?

Select the Carbon Filter Blend option on this page. AllerAir recommends Exec for standard air cleaning and Vocarb for higher pollution levels, VOCs, chemicals such as formaldehyde, fumes and odors. For specific chemicals, ask AllerAir about its more than 40 carbon blends.

Which Replacement Filters and Parts Does It Use?

AllerAir lists pre-filters A6FMP012 in 4-, 8- and 24-packs; Super HEPA A6FSH1248; Exec carbon A6FCW335; Vocarb carbon A6FCW235; carbon wrap set A6FMWS02-2; UV lamp A6EL9013-10W; and gasket set AM000926-2. Remove screws at the bottom to access the main filters.

How Large a Room Can It Clean?

AllerAir does not publish a room-size rating. The manual recommends a minimum of two air exchanges per hour. Contact AllerAir with the volume of your space to determine how many units you need.

What Warranty Comes with This Air Purifier?

AllerAir provides a 10-year limited warranty. It covers repair of defective components, including labor, for five years, followed by an additional five years on parts. Pre-filters and filters are excluded. Coverage applies only to the original purchaser and is not transferable. Warranty repairs require a return authorization number.

Can I Add a UV Lamp?

Choose Add UV light on this page. AllerAir describes the option as "for neutralizing airborne germs, larger viruses and mold spores." AllerAir recommends replacing the UV lamp every 12 months, even if it still glows. The replacement lamp is A6EL9013-10W (10W).
