AG600 room air purifier: four-stage cHEPA and UV-C for rooms up to 592 sq ft

The AG600 is one of three Airgle models cleared by the FDA as a Class II medical ultraviolet air purifier under 510(k) K232645. Air passes four stages in order: prefilter, 2.2 lbs of activated carbon, a 26 sq ft cHEPA filter, then the Titanium Pro UV-C module at 254 nm. The unit covers 592 sq ft at 2.5 air changes per hour, runs at 32 dBA on low, and takes Wi-Fi control from iOS or Android.

AG600 performance and filter stack

• 200 CFM maximum rated airflow. CADR on the factory product sheet reads 191 CFM smoke, 197 CFM dust, and 191 CFM pollen.
• 26 sq ft of cHEPA media. Airgle rates the cHEPA at 99.999% at 0.003 microns.
• 2.2 lbs of activated carbon. Adsorbs VOCs, formaldehyde, and odors.
• Titanium Pro UV-C module. Germicidal UV-C near 254 nm, using Airgle's patented photocatalytic oxidation design (US 8,557,188 B2). Airgle rates bacteria removal at 99.9999%.
• 32 dBA on low, 65 dBA at maximum. BLDC motor, five fan speeds.
• Auto mode with onboard air quality sensor. Sets fan speed to conditions instead of running flat out.
• Aluminum housing and aluminum internal filter frames, with commercial-grade casters. 34.5 lbs.

AG600 applications and sizing

The AG600 fits operatories, consultation rooms, classrooms, offices, and open residential living spaces. Size it by air changes per hour: 592 sq ft at 2.5 ACH, 296 sq ft at 5 ACH, both at the manufacturer's assumed ceiling height of roughly 7.8 ft. Rooms with 9 or 10 ft ceilings need proportionally less floor area per unit. Pick the 5 ACH figure when the room needs faster turnover than general air cleaning.

AG600 clearance and what ships

FDA cleared the Airgle Room Air Purifier as a Class II medical ultraviolet air purifier on February 16, 2024 under 510(k) K232645, for inactivation of indoor airborne aerosols including bacteria and viruses in medical facilities and occupied spaces. In the testing submitted to FDA, the AG600 achieved greater than 4-log reduction of MS2 bacteriophage entrained on the filter after 120 minutes at fan speed 5. The clearance covers UV-C inactivation. It does not certify filtration efficiency, CADR, or coverage figures, which come from Airgle.

Wi-Fi allows remote monitoring and scheduling from the iOS or Android app. Warranty runs five years for non-commercial use and two years for commercial use. The box holds the AG600, cHEPA filter, carbon filter, Titanium Pro UV module, a remote with its CR2032 battery, four casters, and the owner's manual.
