Protect Your Indoor Air Quality With the #1 HEPA Air Scrubber Selection Online

Discover the gold standard in commercial air filtration - a HEPA air scrubber at US Cleaning Tools. These machines are non-negotiable in any job site with airborne contaminants that would otherwise create regulatory or health hazards.

A HEPA filter captures 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns, so it’s easy to see why this equipment is mandated by both OSHA and EPA - especially for asbestos abatement and mold remediation projects.

We serve contractors across industries here at US Cleaning Tools. Whether you’re looking for an air scrubber for construction dust to keep silica levels below OSHA PELs or your restoration team needs to deploy one after fire/flood damage, you’ll find the right solution on this page.

Browse the best models from the most well-regarded brands the industry has to offer, including Abatement Technologies, XPOWER, Novatek, and Aerospace America. From commercial air scrubbers at 4,000 CFM to portable air scrubbers as small as 550 CFM, there’s something for every company and application.

Most importantly, you gain access to world-class customer service from A to Z when you shop with us. Our team knows these applications and machines inside and out, and we’re eager to help you figure out sizing, placement, and proper usage. Just reach out to take the next step!

Frequently asked questions

Do HEPA air scrubbers work?

Yes - HEPA is the only filtration grade that meets OSHA and EPA standards for regulated abatement and remediation work, as it captures up to 99.97% of particles down to 0.3 microns. This has been the default technology for decades.

Is it safe to be in a room with an air scrubber?

Yes. These machines filter air and return it to the room in standard recirculation mode. But the area should be restricted to trained workers wearing the proper PPE anytime the scrubber is being used for abatement or containment work.

Where should a HEPA air scrubber be placed?

A negative air scrubber being used for containment should be placed within the sealed zone, connected to ducting that exhausts filtered air out of the room. If you’re simply using the HEPA air scrubber for open-area filtration, put it as close to the contamination source as possible. Make sure both ports (intake and exhaust) have clear airflow around them.

Do these air scrubbers have to be vented outside?

Only if they’re being used in negative air mode. In that case, you’ll duct the exhaust out of the containment area through a window or wall opening. This is best practice in using an air scrubber for asbestos.

Can you leave a HEPA air scrubber on all the time?

Yes, in fact, it should be left on continuously for active remediation. Many units we carry are specifically designed for around-the-clock use with ultra-efficient DC brushless motors and low noise output.

How often do I need to change the filter in my HEPA scrubber?

That depends on how hard the filter is being forced to work. A lot of machines need new pre-filters every few days (if not daily) for heavy demolition or abatement jobs. HEPA filters themselves have a longer service life, and most brands will provide a recommended replacement frequency in the user manual.

Which air scrubber is right for my application?

Start by figuring out what CFM you need, based on total room volume and the number of air changes you need to execute per hour. Mold and asbestos call for 4-6 ACH, for example. Then you just have to factor in voltage requirements and portability. Get a personalized air scrubber recommendation from our experts today!
