The N12S adds a 180° swivel neck to the N12 platform, letting the powerhead steer around chair legs, desk bases, and corners without the operator having to reposition their body. The dual motor system, airflow, and weight are identical to the N12 — the swivel neck is the only structural difference between the two models.

What is the difference between the NaceCare N12 and N12S?

The N12S adds a 180° swivel neck to the N12 platform. All other specs are identical — 106 CFM airflow, 1200W motor, 12" cleaning path, 67 dB(A) noise, 15 lbs weight, and the same bag, filters, and brush strips. The swivel neck makes the N12S better suited for furniture-dense environments where the powerhead needs to pivot around obstacles.

Does the swivel neck affect suction power on the N12S?

No. The swivel joint does not restrict airflow. The N12S delivers the same 106 CFM on high as the straight-neck N12, and the dual motor system maintains independent suction and brush roll performance regardless of the neck angle.

Can the N12S be used on hard floors?

Yes. The brush roll shut-off switch disengages the rotating brush while suction remains active. This is necessary on hard floors to prevent the brush from scattering debris instead of picking it up. The airflow indicator and bypass valve continue operating normally in hard floor mode.

What is the brush strip replacement process on the N12S?

Same as the N12 — brush strips slide in from the side of the powerhead without tools. The worn strip pulls out and the replacement locks in place in under 60 seconds. Replacement strips are available from NaceCare and are compatible with both N12 and N12S models.

How does the N12S auto shut-off work?

The brush roll on the N12S automatically stops rotating when the handle is placed in the upright position or when the hose is disconnected from the powerhead. This prevents the brush from spinning against carpet or hard floors when the operator is not actively using the machine — protecting the belt and floor surfaces.

What is the cord length on the NaceCare N12S?
