CFP405+ Rapid RH L6 kit includes a C555 handheld concrete moisture meter for slab screening and an infrared thermometer for surface temperature checks. The C555 identifies moisture hotspots 0.5 in into the slab to help guide Rapid RH sensor placement. Also included are 5 L6 Smart Sensors, a Total Reader and 2 Smart Logger V2 recorders for in-situ concrete RH testing and ambient monitoring.
CFP405+ Rapid RH L6 Workflow: Survey the Slab, Then Place Sensors
Use the C555 for a preliminary comparative moisture evaluation, then use the results to guide Rapid RH sensor placement. Keep a separate record of ambient temperature and humidity with the Smart Logger V2 recorders.
- Locate Moisture Hotspots — The C555 provides preliminary comparative evaluation of concrete, gypsum cement and other slabs per ASTM F2659. Press the hold button to retain a reading while surveying the slab.
- Check Surface Temperature — The infrared thermometer measures from -25.6°F to 707°F with a 12:1 distance-to-spot ratio and accuracy of ±2% of reading.
- Read In-Situ Concrete Conditions — The Total Reader reads relative humidity and temperature on contact with an L6 Smart Sensor through Touch-n-Sense. Readings are available after 24 hours of sensor acclimation for ASTM F2170 testing.
- Store Results and Generate Reports — The Total Reader connects over Bluetooth to the free DataMaster L6 app to store results and generate reports. Each L6 Smart Sensor has a factory calibration. The Total Reader needs no periodic calibration.
- Record Ambient Conditions — Smart Logger V2 records temperature and relative humidity and stores up to 16,384 measurements. It sends readings to the free Wagner Sentry app over Bluetooth 5.0.
- Check the C555 in the Field — Use the included On-Demand Calibrator for field calibration of the meter. The C555 also measures ambient temperature, relative humidity and dew point. It is not calibrated for wood.
CFP405+ Rapid RH L6 Applications for Flooring and Building Inspection
Flooring contractors can use the CFP405+ Rapid RH L6 kit to assess concrete slabs during office fit-outs, retail flooring replacements and school renovations. Comparative screening helps guide sensor placement, while in-situ RH readings document conditions within the slab. Ambient records let flooring professionals and building inspectors compare slab readings with the surrounding temperature and humidity in commercial facilities. The C555 also has a relative measurement mode for concrete-like materials such as concrete blocks.
