The Tornado M 20" (model 98484) offers 175 and 320 RPM dual-speed operation from a 1.5 HP dual-capacitor motor in a rolled steel base. The cast aluminum handle with cushioned grips and triple planetary gear drive support both low-speed scrubbing/stripping and mid-speed polishing on a 20-inch rotary disc. Weight: 105 lbs. Dual Speed — One Machine for Stripping and Polishing
The M 20" replaces two machines in operations that strip and polish the same floor. At 175 RPM with a black or green pad, it strips finish and scrubs heavily soiled VCT. At 320 RPM with a white or tan pad, it polishes and spray-buffs without needing a separate higher-speed machine. The rolled steel base weighs more than polyethylene housings — increasing downward pressure for stripping — and the cast aluminum handle provides vibration dampening at higher speeds.
