Therma-Steem Industrial XL3 — 40kW Dual-Output Steam for Heavy-Duty Continuous Production

The Therma-Steem Industrial XL3 is the high-capacity version of the XL1 — the same 155 PSI and 365°F output pressure and temperature, but with a 40kW heating element instead of 20kW. That doubles steam production from 55 lbs/hour to 110 lbs/hour, enabling two simultaneous operator hose stations or continuous cleaning of larger surface areas without waiting for steam pressure to rebuild. Electrical requirement is 480V, 3-phase, 49 amps (up from 26 amps on the XL1).

Therma-Steem XL3 Steam Output, PSI, and Heating Capacity

The XL3 exists for facilities where the XL1's 55 lbs/hour output becomes the production bottleneck — multi-operator applications or high-throughput cleaning lines where downtime between cycles is unacceptable.

High-throughput food processing plants where multiple sanitation stations operate simultaneously are the primary XL3 application — two operators working from one unit rather than two separate XL1 units reduces capital cost and maintenance overhead. Large aircraft maintenance hangars cleaning entire airframe sections rather than individual components benefit from the continuous high-output steam. Military depots running three-shift operations where equipment must be ready for the next shift without cooling periods between cleanings use the XL3's no-downtime design. KOSHER-certified commercial kitchens cleaning large equipment arrays — ovens, industrial mixers, conveyor systems — use the dual-hose output to reduce sanitation time per shift. The XL3 shares identical footprint dimensions (33" × 23" × 34") and weight (215 lbs) with the XL1 — a facility already running an XL1 can add an XL3 without infrastructure changes beyond the electrical supply upgrade to 49 amps.

XL3 Steam Temperature, PSI, and Dry-Steam Output

Output conditions are identical to the XL1: 365°F (185°C) boiler temperature, 155 PSI (10.7 bar) output pressure, 97% dry vapor quality. The XL3's 40kW element maintains these conditions at 110 lbs/hour — the XL1's 20kW element would drop pressure or temperature under equivalent load. Ships with the same full accessory kit as the XL1: 25 ft SS hose, trigger gun, wand extensions, brush set, squeegee, microfiber cloths, safety equipment. Electrical requirement: 480V, 3-phase, 49 amps — also available in 220V or 575V upon request.
