Sandia 50-1006 3-Gallon Spot Extractor – 55 PSI, 15 Ft Hoses, Stainless Steel Tool

The 50-1006 extends the reach of Sandia's spot extractor line to 15 ft — double the 7 ft hoses on the Super Spotter (50-3000/50-3001) — without increasing the 3-gallon tank size. The same 2-stage Ametek 804W motor and 55 PSI pump drive both units; the 50-1006 is the longer-reach version for situations where the machine cannot be positioned directly beside the stain. It includes a 4" stainless steel upholstery tool and weighs 29 lbs — 10–14 lbs heavier than the Super Spotter models.

50-1006 Specifications and Reach Comparison

  • Motor: 2-stage Ametek, 804W, 115V — produces 97 CFM and sufficient static lift for carpet and upholstery extraction
  • Pump: 55 PSI — same as the Super Spotter series; lower than the 100 PSI heated 50-4100
  • Hoses: 15 ft vacuum hose (1.25" diameter) + 15 ft solution hose — reaches across a full hotel room from the doorway, or covers an office cubicle without repositioning
  • Tank capacity: 3-gallon solution and 3-gallon recovery — matched; neither tank outpaces the other under normal spot-cleaning loads
  • Upholstery tool: 4" stainless steel — durable for repeated use on automotive interiors, restaurant seating, and upholstered chairs
  • Power cord: 25 ft — 5 ft longer than the Super Spotter's 20 ft cord; combined with 15 ft hoses gives approximately 40 ft of total working radius from a single outlet
  • Dimensions: 20"×10"×16"; weight: 29 lbs — heavier than the 15–19 lb Super Spotter models but still one-person portable
  • Body: roto-molded polyethylene, made in USA

Where the Extended Hose Length Changes the Job

The 15 ft hoses solve the positioning problem: in a standard hotel room, the extractor can stay in the hallway while the operator cleans the carpet, upholstery, and any spots near the window — a single repositioning covers the entire room. In a restaurant, the machine sits in an aisle while the operator works under and around booth seating. For automotive detailing, the extractor stays outside the vehicle while the operator reaches across all seating surfaces. The 55 PSI pump is lower than the 100 PSI in the heated 50-4100, which is appropriate for delicate fabrics but less aggressive on heavily embedded carpet soil — for those jobs, the 50-4100 or a full-size extractor is the right choice.

50-1006 vs 50-3000/50-3001 Super Spotter

Both lines use the same Ametek 804W 2-stage motor and 55 PSI pump. The 50-1006's 15 ft hoses and 29 lb weight suit jobs where the machine needs to stay stationary in a doorway or aisle. The Super Spotter's 7 ft hoses and 15–19 lb weight suit jobs where you carry the machine into the space and work in tight proximity to the stain. Neither model heats solution — for heated spot extraction, the 50-4100 with its 600W in-line heater at 100 PSI is the upgrade path.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why are the hoses on the 50-1006 longer than the Super Spotter?
The 50-1006's 15 ft hoses (versus 7 ft on the 50-3000/50-3001) allow the machine to stay stationary in a doorway or aisle while the operator works throughout the space. This matters in hotel rooms, restaurant booths, or vehicle interiors where positioning the machine inside the work area is impractical. Both models use the same 2-stage Ametek 804W motor and 55 PSI pump.
What is the total working radius of the 50-1006 from a wall outlet?
The 50-1006 has a 25 ft power cord and 15 ft hoses, giving a working radius of approximately 40 ft from the outlet to the cleaning tool. This is sufficient to cover a standard hotel room from the hallway outlet, or a large conference room from a corner outlet.
Does the 50-1006 heat the cleaning solution?
No. The 50-1006 does not include a heater. For heated spot extraction with a 3-gallon tank, the Sandia 50-4100 adds a 600W in-line heater that raises solution to 200°F using a 100 PSI pump — higher pressure than the 50-1006's 55 PSI.
Can the 50-1006 clean automotive upholstery?
Yes. The 4" stainless steel upholstery tool on the 50-1006 is suited for automotive interiors, and the 15 ft hoses allow the machine to stay outside the vehicle while the operator cleans across all seating positions. The 55 PSI pump is appropriate for automotive fabric — aggressive enough to penetrate fibers without damaging seat foam.
How does the 50-1006 differ from the heated 50-4100?
The 50-1006 uses a 55 PSI pump and no heater; the 50-4100 uses a 100 PSI pump and a 600W in-line heater that reaches 200°F. Both have 3-gallon tanks and 15 ft hoses. The 50-4100 weighs 42 lbs versus the 50-1006 at 29 lbs. Choose the 50-1006 for standard spot cleaning; choose the 50-4100 when heat is needed to break down protein stains or sanitize.
