The HO3-2500 does what neither a pure hydroxyl nor a pure ozone unit can do alone: it gives you both modes in a single machine. Run hydroxyl mode during occupied hours for continuous safe treatment. Switch to ozone mode during unoccupied periods for deep-penetrating shock treatment of severe odors and biological contamination. One unit, two tools, zero compromise.
Restoration contractors rely on this for exactly that reason. Hydroxyl treatment keeps job sites safe while crews work. Then at night — or between occupancy — they dial up ozone mode for the kind of deep-penetrating treatment that breaks down embedded smoke compounds in walls, subfloor, and HVAC systems.
Dual-Mode Technology Explained
In hydroxyl mode, the HO3-2500 operates identically to the HG2500: UVC photocatalysis generates ·OH radicals that safely destroy airborne VOCs, bacteria, and mold spores. Switch to ozone mode and the unit activates a corona discharge ozone generator rated at 2,500 mg/hr — enough to shock-treat a 2,500 sq ft space in a single session. The two systems are physically separate within the unit; switching modes is a single control switch. Ozone mode requires unoccupied space.
