Namco FloorWash 5000 4588 Corded Floor Scrubber – 14-Inch Path, 700/1,145 RPM, 120V

Namco FloorWash 5000 4588 Corded Floor Scrubber – 14-Inch Path, 700/1,145 RPM, 120V

The 4588 electric floor scrubber has a 14-inch cleaning path. Its front brush runs at 700 RPM and its rear brush at 1,145 RPM. At 5,382 square feet per hour and 24 lbs, the 4588 provides unlimited runtime for facilities that prefer corded operation with consistent power delivery over battery runtime management.

4588 Corded Drive, Brush Speed, and Tank Configuration

• Cleaning path: 14 inch — same width as the battery version; fits restroom stalls, breakrooms, and narrow corridors.
• Brush speed: 700 RPM front, 1,145 RPM rear — front and rear brushes for tile, VCT and sealed hard floors.
• Power: 120V corded, 35 ft cord — unlimited runtime without battery charging intervals; cord length covers standard restroom and breakroom configurations.
• Coverage: 5,382 sq ft/hr — rated work capacity of 500 m² per hour.
• Solution tank: 1 gallon — handles restroom circuits and small commercial areas per fill.
• Recovery tank: 0.5 gallon — requires emptying at floor drains between room transitions.
• Weight: 24 lbs — total empty weight, also listed as 11 kg.

Corded vs. Battery FloorWash 5000 – Selection Criteria

The corded 4588 provides unlimited runtime—there is no charge cycle that interrupts cleaning. For facilities with a fixed daily cleaning window (restroom circuit completed in one shift, same route every day), the corded version eliminates the battery management requirement and the downtime risk of a depleted battery mid-shift. The 35-foot cord covers standard restroom layouts without an extension cord. The battery version (4588-BP) is the better choice when routes involve multiple floors accessed by stairs, areas without convenient outlet access, or when the cleaning route is long enough to require covering more than 35 feet from a single outlet position.

Brush Speed on Corded Power

Corded 120V motors maintain consistent voltage at the motor terminals regardless of use duration—there is no voltage sag as a battery discharges. On mains power, the 4588's front brush runs at 700 RPM and its rear brush at 1,145 RPM. For facilities where consistent scrubbing performance across the full cleaning run is a requirement, the corded 4588 is the more predictable option.
