CBA-4004-1MCH CAT Pump, External Bypass, and Performance Edge
- CAT pump at 4,000 PSI / 3.7 GPM — Californian-manufactured pump brand used across industrial pressure washing; forged brass manifold and external bypass system standard.
- 389cc Honda GX390 OHV engine — Pressure Relief Start; belt drive runs pump below engine RPM for lower operating temperature.
- External bypass system standard — actively recirculates water when trigger is released, preventing heat buildup that damages seals.
- Thermal relief valve and clear-sleeve water filter — secondary heat protection; filter checks in under 30 seconds.
High-Flow Industrial Cleaning Applications
The external bypass standard on this model makes it better suited to stop-and-start cleaning patterns — such as working around equipment and obstacles — without risking pump damage from heat soak. Painting contractors use the combination of 4,000 PSI and 3.7 GPM for wet media blasting prep and paint stripping on large metal structures where both pressure and flow are required. ETL certified; 49-state — not for California.
