The TS-17 uses the same 1.5 HP 66-frame D/C rectified motor and triple-planetary transmission as the TS-19 and TS-21, but in a 17" apron that fits comfortably in narrow corridors, restrooms, elevator bays, and other spaces where the larger models create clearance issues. It switches between 175 RPM for scrubbing and stripping and 300 RPM for spray buffing and polishing. The Tri-Lock pad driver holds pads securely, and the 6" retractable non-marking wheels allow the machine to roll without pad contact when repositioning.

Where the TS-17 Gets Used
The 17" size is the preferred choice for restroom cleaning (standard restroom stalls and floors are 36–48" wide), elevator bays, narrow service corridors, and break rooms where larger machines lose too much time navigating around fixtures. It covers roughly 2,500–3,000 sq. ft. per hour — less per pass than the TS-19 or TS-21, but in spaces where those machines can't turn around freely, the TS-17 finishes faster overall. It also works effectively in food service areas on quarry tile and sealed concrete where the 17" size allows access between prep tables and counters.
Pro Application Details for the TS-17
The TS-17 and TS-19 share the same motor and transmission — the pad size is the only functional difference. At 175 RPM: green pads scrub without stripping; black pads strip finish effectively on VCT, tile, and sealed concrete. At 300 RPM: red spray-buff pads restore gloss; white pads polish lightly. The triple-planetary transmission eliminates the startup torque that damages older single-gear designs when the pad first contacts the floor under load. The 16" pad driver is the working pad size — this is what you order replacement pads for. The 15" rotary brush is used for brush scrubbing applications rather than pad-driving.
