Ebac CD425 HVAC Dehumidifier with Pump – Model 10143BR-US (460V, 3-Phase)
The Ebac CD425 (10143BR-US) is a 285 PPD refrigerant HVAC dehumidifier running on 460V, 3-phase at 8A and 3.6 kW, with 1,750 CFM airflow and an internal condensate pump. Unlike the desiccant DD series, the CD425-D uses a refrigerant compressor with reverse-cycle defrost to operate down to 33°F. It is ducted directly into building HVAC systems, covers an effective volume of 52,970 ft³, and weighs 353 lbs with a steel chassis finished in baked epoxy and vinyl coatings. The internal pump automatically expels condensate without manual draining.

Where the CD425 Performs
Warehouses, distribution centers, and large commercial facilities integrate the CD425 directly into existing HVAC ductwork to control humidity across 52,970 ft³ without separate portable unit deployment. The 1,750 CFM airflow is an HVAC-scale figure — 7× the process airflow of the DD900 desiccant unit — making it appropriate for central plant installation rather than spot dehumidification. The reverse-cycle defrost system enables year-round operation in unheated or marginally heated buildings where temperatures drop near freezing, while the internal pump eliminates drain line routing limitations by discharging condensate automatically. Mold prevention in cold storage antechambers, corrosion control in maintenance bays, and condensation management in food processing facilities are typical deployments.
CD425 vs. DD Series – Refrigerant HVAC vs. Desiccant
The CD425 is a refrigerant compressor unit integrated into ductwork — it processes the building's circulating air volume rather than spot-treating a zone. The DD series units (DD700, DD900, DD1200) are standalone desiccant machines that can be positioned anywhere with duct connections. The CD425's 33°F minimum is higher than the DD series' -4°F, so in sub-freezing environments the DD units are required. Where temperatures stay above 33°F and centralized HVAC integration is desired, the CD425 at 1,750 CFM and 285 PPD is the more appropriate specification.

What is the extraction rate of the Ebac CD425-D 10149BR-US?
The CD425-D 10149BR-US extracts 285 PPD using a refrigerant compressor. Unlike desiccant units which rate extraction at any temperature, refrigerant extraction is rated at standard conditions — the CD425-D operates between 33°F and 95°F.
What does the internal condensate pump do on the CD425-D 10149BR-US?
The internal pump automatically collects and expels condensate moisture through a drain line, eliminating the need for manual emptying. This enables continuous unattended operation in large facilities without drain pans or gravity drainage requirements.
How does the CD425-D differ from the Ebac DD desiccant series?
The CD425-D is a refrigerant HVAC unit integrated into ductwork, processing 1,750 CFM of building air at 285 PPD from 33–95°F. The DD series are standalone desiccant units operating to -4°F. Choose CD425-D for HVAC integration above 33°F; choose DD series for sub-freezing environments or portable deployment.
What electrical supply does the CD425-D 10149BR-US require?
The 10149BR-US requires 460V (440V rated), 3-phase, 60 Hz at 8A (3.6 kW). This is a low amperage draw for 285 PPD extraction, making the CD425-D efficient in facilities with existing 460V 3-phase distribution.
What effective volume does the CD425-D cover?
The CD425-D is rated for an effective volume of 52,970 ft³ — a large-space HVAC-grade specification appropriate for warehouses, distribution centers, and industrial facilities.
What is the difference between the 10149BR-US (with pump) and 10148BR-US (without pump)?
Both are CD425-D units with 460V 3-phase power and 285 PPD extraction. The 10149BR-US includes an internal condensate pump for automatic drainage to any drain location; the 10148BR-US relies on gravity drainage and requires a floor drain or condensate pan within close reach.

Located in the Twin Cities in Minnesota, we acquired our Brio Air Filter in mid-late Spring of this year (2023) when pollen count was high and we were beginning to experience the effects of Poor Air Quality Index as a result of smoke particulates from fires in Canada that caused the air in much of Minnesota to become hazy and simply dirty.
It is so easy to share our experience with the Brio Air Filter given how quickly and efficiently it removed pollen, dust, and smoke particles from the environment inside our home. Two people in our home who suffer from pollen-related allergies during the spring immediately experienced easier breathing and elimination of symptoms within the house. With respect to smoke particulates from Canada drifting into our environment, EVERYONE in our home experienced directly improved breathing and smell of the air when entering from outside.
An additional piece of information to account for is that we have always employed high grade furnace filters in our home’s central HVAC system. With that high grade filtration in place both prior to and after acquiring a Brio home air filter, we all quickly agreed that deploying the Brio in our home made an easily noticeable positive difference in breathing inside our home. Additionally, those of us who clean our home have observed that dust builds up slower on our floors and furniture than before we deployed the Brio unit.
We did note that the Brio is not as quiet as a few other brands/models on the market that we have tried in our home but the efficiency and quality of the filtration, along with the air turnover rate it provides, allows us to locate the Brio unit in central rooms away from the bedrooms. Since we made that change there has been no noise-related effect on our sleep, while the unit maintains the same level of air cleanliness throughout our home.
A last key point to make is how easy the Brio unit is to maintain. The simplicity of the modular construction of the Brio unit makes it very quick and easy to keep the filtration sections clean. We have not yet reached a point of filter replacement but it is obvious to us that the replacement will take a matter of seconds and can be executed by anyone in our home, including our 10-year-old son.
It seems to help reduce my allergy issues. We're glad we bought it. The only problem I had was not seeing any cubic footage recommendations in the online description when purchasing the unit. Bedrooms vary widely in size!!
