XPOWER Air Scrubber Filters for Every Stage in the Stack
An air scrubber is only as good as the filters in it, and a machine running a loaded HEPA moves a fraction of its rated airflow while the motor works harder for it. These are the factory replacement filters for XPOWER scrubbers, covering 16 machines from the compact X-2480A mini scrubbers up to the AP-2500D, in every stage those machines use: washable nylon mesh and rigid polyester pre-filters, pleated media, activated carbon, TiO2, and true HEPA.
Match the Filter to the Stage, Not Just the Machine
XPOWER scrubbers run three or four stages in series, and each one does a different job. Stage one is a coarse pre-filter that catches lint, hair and construction debris before it reaches anything expensive. Stage two is pleated media or activated carbon, the first for fine dust and the second for odour and VOCs. The last stage is HEPA, rated to capture 99.97% of particles at 0.3 microns, which is the size range hardest to trap and the basis for the EPA definition of a HEPA filter. Skipping a pre-filter to save money is a false economy: it just sends the load straight to the HEPA, which costs several times more.
Filters Are Sized Per Machine Family, Not Per Brand
Physical size is what determines fit, so a filter is specific to a machine family rather than to XPOWER generally. The 13" x 13" mesh and pleated filters serve the X-2480A, X-2580, X-2700, X-2800 and X-2830 family. The X-3400A, X-3580, X-3780 and X-4700A share a larger set with the AP-1500D and AP-1500U. The AP-1800D takes 19" filters, and the AP-2000 and AP-2500D take 24" filters, including V-shaped deep HEPAs that hold far more media than a flat panel of the same face size. Every product page here lists the models it fits; check the model plate on the machine rather than going by physical resemblance, as the AP-1500D and AP-1500U take different V-shaped HEPAs despite looking alike.
What to Wash, What to Replace
Nylon mesh pre-filters are washable and are meant to be cleaned and reused. Rigid polyester, pleated media, carbon and HEPA elements are not — washing them destroys the media structure and the filter stops performing while still looking intact. Change intervals depend entirely on the load. A scrubber running drywall dust on a demolition job loads a pre-filter in days, while the same machine on a post-water-damage dry-out may go weeks. Judge by airflow and visible loading, and keep a spare pre-filter on the truck, since that stage protects everything downstream of it. Common replacements include the NFS13 washable nylon mesh filter and the HEPA35-33 filter.
