Electric Floor Scrubber Options
Electric floor scrubbers include orbital machines, rotary machines, and walk-behind scrubber-dryers. This collection has corded and battery equipment, with compact machines for tight spaces and wider models for open floors. Start with the job: scrubbing, stripping, surface maintenance, or washing with water recovery.
How the Three Machine Types Differ
Orbital floor machines use orbital pad motion for surface cleaning and maintenance. Orbot Vibe and SprayBorg models have 17-inch paths, with packages for soft floors, hard floors, or stone. SprayBorg packages add dual tanks for solution spraying.
Rotary machines use a rotating pad or brush for scrubbing and stripping with suitable tooling. Options include the 15-inch Bissell Big Green BGH-15E and 20-inch NaceCare NA 20SS. If you need scrubbing and dirty-water recovery in one pass, consider walk-behind scrubber-dryers such as the Bissell BGUS1500 and NaceCare TBL 1620.
Corded vs Battery Power
Corded machines need outlet access, and you'll need to manage the cord as you work, since a cord across a wet floor is a trip hazard under OSHA walking-working surface rules. Battery machines have no trailing power cord, but operating time depends on charge and operating conditions. The Orbot LiFE and cordless Orbot SLiM run on battery, and you can compare battery-powered scrubbers such as the Bissell BGUS1500B and NaceCare TBL 1620 with plug-in models for your space.
Choose for Your Floor and Available Space
Choose electric floor scrubbers based on your floor material and the work you need to do. Consider the total cleaning area, then check how paths from 11 to 20 inches fit your aisle widths and clearance around obstacles. Check storage access, too. Confirm that the included pads, brushes, or tooling suit your surface, and decide whether you need built-in water recovery.
