The Bissell BGC-1 is the base model of the Bissell Big Green Commercial FMC (Floor Maintenance Center) line — a heavy-duty floor machine built for facilities that need one chassis to handle scrubbing, stripping, and polishing across multiple floor types. The interchangeable apron system — covering 13", 15", 17", 19", and 21" sizes — lets one machine serve different facility zones without purchasing separate floor buffers. The 1.5 HP motor and triple-planetary high-torque transmission run at 175 RPM and are built for the most demanding applications.

Floor machine selection comes down to motor torque, pad speed, and whether one machine can handle the full range of floor care tasks in a facility.

BGC-1 RPM, Pad Pressure, and Compatible Pads
Runs at 175 RPM with pad pressure determined by the machine's operating weight on the selected apron size. Compatible with standard round floor pads in the selected apron diameter — use tan/white for polishing, red for spray buffing, green for scrubbing, brown/black for stripping.
