The Bissell Big Green DFS29 generates vacuum-like suction through a patented gear-driven fan that activates when the operator pushes the machine—no battery, cord, or motor required. The sealed vacuum chamber and multi-stiffness chevron brush system collect debris and fine dust in both forward and reverse directions.

Gear-driven fan system — wheel rotation powers the internal fan through a mechanical gear train.
Sealed vacuum chamber — contains the airflow path between the brush and the collection hopper; prevents fine dust from escaping the brush zone during sweeping.
Multi-stiffness chevron brush.
Side broom — pulls debris from edges and corners into the chevron brush path.
Bidirectional operation — suction activates in both forward and reverse travel; effective in tight spaces where pull-back is required.
No power source — zero battery cost, zero charging time, zero emissions; operates anywhere including outdoor areas without access to power.

The DFS29 fills the gap between a push broom and a powered sweeper. It provides better dust control than a push broom through its sealed vacuum chamber, and operates anywhere a powered sweeper cannot—outdoor loading docks, parking garages, construction areas without power access. Warehouses use the DFS29 for spot-cleaning between powered sweeper cycles, eliminating the need to bring out large equipment for small debris accumulations.
