Sandia 86-2100 Sniper 6-Gallon Carpet Extractor – 100 PSI Dual 2-Stage

The 86-2100 is the entry-level PSI configuration in Sandia's 6-gallon Sniper line — 100 PSI pump pressure with dual 2-stage vacuum motors producing 205" of water lift. The heated variant (86-2100-H) adds a 2000W in-line heater without changing the pump pressure or motor configuration.

  • Pump pressure: 100 PSI adjustable — lower than the 300 PSI 86-2300 and 200 PSI 86-3200 in the 6-gallon Sniper line; suitable for medium-pile commercial carpet and upholstery where high-pressure injection could over-saturate the substrate

Where 100 PSI Is the Right Pressure Level

Carpet extraction pressure is not always better at higher values. At 100 PSI, the 86-2100 injects solution into cut-pile carpet without over-penetrating the backing, which keeps moisture off the subfloor and reduces dry time. For upholstery cleaning with a hand tool, 100 PSI is also more appropriate than 200–300 PSI, which can force solution through fabric into foam padding. The 86-2100 is the right choice when the cleaning surfaces include a mix of carpet and upholstered furniture, or when drying time is a priority. For heavily soiled commercial carpet where deeper penetration is needed, the 86-2300 (300 PSI) or 86-3200 (200 PSI, 3-stage motors) are the upgrade path.

Comparing 86-2100 to the 80-Series 12-Gallon Snipers

The 86-2100 shares the Sniper build philosophy with the 80-2300, 80-3300, and other models but in a 6-gallon configuration. The 6-gallon tanks suit jobs under approximately 2,000–3,000 sq ft per shift; beyond that, the fill-dump cycle frequency becomes a production bottleneck.

Why would I choose 100 PSI instead of 200 or 300 PSI?

The 2000W heater draws approximately 17.4A at 115V, which exceeds a 15A circuit when combined with the motor — a 20A dedicated circuit for each cord is the correct installation.
What is the tank capacity of the 86-2100, and how many square feet can it cover per fill?
The 86-2100 has 6-gallon solution and 6-gallon recovery tanks. Coverage per fill depends on application rate — typically 1,500–2,500 sq ft per fill on medium-pile commercial carpet at standard solution dilution. Heavily soiled areas requiring multiple passes will reduce coverage per fill.
