Sandia 50-2001 Spotter — 55 PSI Portable Spot Extractor for Upholstery and Carpet Spot Treatment
The Sandia Spotter 50-2001 is a 2-gallon portable spot extractor built for rapid-response stain treatment in hotels, healthcare facilities, offices, and restaurants. At 55 PSI and a 2-stage vacuum motor, it delivers enough pressure to flush deep stains out of upholstery fibers while recovering solution fast enough to keep fabric dry times short. At roughly 20 lbs, it moves room to room without a cart — practical for housekeeping teams covering multiple floors.
50-2001 Pump Pressure, Motor, and Tank Configuration
At 55 PSI, the 50-2001 delivers meaningful spray force for spot treatment — more than enough to flush soil from upholstered seating, but measured enough to avoid over-wetting delicate fabrics. The 2-stage motor provides strong suction recovery, which is what keeps carpets and upholstery from staying wet for hours after treatment.
55 PSI pump — sufficient pressure to dislodge embedded soil from upholstered seating and low-pile commercial carpet without saturating the backing
2-stage vacuum motor — stronger suction recovery than single-stage designs; shorter dry times on upholstery and carpet after treatment
Separate 2-gallon solution and recovery tanks — dedicated tanks prevent recovered soil from contaminating fresh cleaning solution; minimizes refill frequency for typical spot jobs
Roto-molded polyethylene housing — resists cracking and warping from repeated drops; appropriate for daily hotel housekeeping use
Slide-out handle and wheels — moves between floors and rooms without lifting; practical for any multi-floor commercial building
25 ft power cord — covers a standard hotel room from a single outlet without extension cords
50-2001 Applications and Environments
Hotels and motels use the 50-2001 as the go-to housekeeping tool for rapid stain response on guest room upholstery, carpet, and hallway runners between scheduled deep cleans. Healthcare facilities with fabric patient seating use it for targeted extraction when spot cleaning with spray-and-blot falls short. Office building janitorial teams handle beverage spills on carpet tiles and lounge seating with this machine — the compact footprint fits in standard janitorial closets. Restaurant operators and catering venues use it for upholstered booth seating and dining room carpet maintenance.
50-2001 PSI, Water Lift, and What's Included
Ships complete and ready to use: 7-foot vacuum hose, 7-foot solution hose, and 4" stainless steel upholstery tool included. The stainless tool is rated for heated output if your facility upgrades to a heated unit later. At 55 PSI, this machine is appropriate for upholstery and spot carpet treatment — not for full-room carpet extraction, which requires higher PSI and larger tank capacity.

Located in the Twin Cities in Minnesota, we acquired our Brio Air Filter in mid-late Spring of this year (2023) when pollen count was high and we were beginning to experience the effects of Poor Air Quality Index as a result of smoke particulates from fires in Canada that caused the air in much of Minnesota to become hazy and simply dirty.
It is so easy to share our experience with the Brio Air Filter given how quickly and efficiently it removed pollen, dust, and smoke particles from the environment inside our home. Two people in our home who suffer from pollen-related allergies during the spring immediately experienced easier breathing and elimination of symptoms within the house. With respect to smoke particulates from Canada drifting into our environment, EVERYONE in our home experienced directly improved breathing and smell of the air when entering from outside.
An additional piece of information to account for is that we have always employed high grade furnace filters in our home’s central HVAC system. With that high grade filtration in place both prior to and after acquiring a Brio home air filter, we all quickly agreed that deploying the Brio in our home made an easily noticeable positive difference in breathing inside our home. Additionally, those of us who clean our home have observed that dust builds up slower on our floors and furniture than before we deployed the Brio unit.
We did note that the Brio is not as quiet as a few other brands/models on the market that we have tried in our home but the efficiency and quality of the filtration, along with the air turnover rate it provides, allows us to locate the Brio unit in central rooms away from the bedrooms. Since we made that change there has been no noise-related effect on our sleep, while the unit maintains the same level of air cleanliness throughout our home.
A last key point to make is how easy the Brio unit is to maintain. The simplicity of the modular construction of the Brio unit makes it very quick and easy to keep the filtration sections clean. We have not yet reached a point of filter replacement but it is obvious to us that the replacement will take a matter of seconds and can be executed by anyone in our home, including our 10-year-old son.
It seems to help reduce my allergy issues. We're glad we bought it. The only problem I had was not seeing any cubic footage recommendations in the online description when purchasing the unit. Bedrooms vary widely in size!!
