The Sandia 10-0183 is a 14" nylon brush hardwood floor tool for Raven 10-series backpack vacuum cleaners. Nylon bristles provide effective agitation on hard-surface floors including hardwood, tile, and vinyl, channeling loosened debris into the vacuum airstream.

Nylon vs. Horse Hair: Choosing the Right Brush

The 10-0183 (nylon) and 10-0441 (horse hair) serve different surface types. Nylon bristles are stiffer, which makes them more effective at dislodging debris from textured surfaces — grouted ceramic tile, textured vinyl plank, and rougher hardwood finishes. Horse hair is the better choice for high-gloss or waxed surfaces where bristle stiffness could micro-scratch the finish. If a facility has a mix of surface types, operators typically keep both brushes on the cart and swap based on the floor being cleaned.

Filtration Rating and What Ships in the Box

The 10-0183 is a floor tool attachment — no filtration stage is built in. Particle capture is handled by the Raven backpack's HEPA filter (10-0219-10-N, 99.97% at 0.3 microns). The package ships with the 10-0183 brush head only; wand, hose, and Raven backpack are sold separately.

The 10-0183 is an OEM accessory for the Sandia Raven 10-series backpack vacuum cleaners. It connects to the standard Raven wand assembly (10-0342-A or equivalent). Confirm your Raven model is in the 10-series before ordering.
Can the 10-0183 be used on waxed hardwood floors?
Nylon bristles are stiffer than horse hair and can potentially leave fine marks on high-gloss or waxed floor finishes under repeated use. For waxed hardwood, the 10-0441 horse hair brush is the safer choice. For standard urethane-finished hardwood and textured surfaces, nylon bristles are appropriate.
Is the 10-0183 HEPA-rated?
