This is the kit for homes with predominantly hard flooring: tile, wood, laminate and polished concrete with area rugs rather than fitted carpet. Property managers use it on rentals for the same reason, since hard floors dominate in properties turned over frequently. Households with substantial fitted carpet should specify the turbo nozzle or power nozzle version instead, which adds the agitation that pile needs. It ships at 11 lb.
