The heavy duty brush supplied with the machine is more than most floors need on a nightly clean, and using it everywhere shortens the life of the finish. The medium duty grade is the everyday brush: enough bite for maintenance scrubbing, gentle enough for floors that are cleaned regularly.

Prolux PLC15 medium duty brush use in the field
Schools, offices, retail floors, clinics and church halls with maintained hard floors are the natural fit, since those surfaces are cleaned often enough that heavy aggression is unnecessary and damaging. Contractors usually run this grade nightly and keep the heavy duty brush for periodic deep work. Confirm your buffer is a 15 inch PLC15 before ordering.
