The Novatek RPT2AC is a 2" pneumatic hand-held scarifier fitted with carbon-steel star cutters and an integrated vacuum shroud. The star-cutter hub fractures thick mill scale, rust, and heavy coatings to expose a textured profile on steel and concrete, while the 1.5" vacuum port captures debris at the source. The 2" cutting width keeps the tool light enough for vertical sections, columns, and overhead work where a 4" head is hard to control.
How the RPT2AC Star-Cutter Hub Cuts
Star cutters mounted on the quick-change hub strike the surface as the 1.2 HP air motor spins them at 2,700 RPM, chipping away material rather than abrading it. This makes the RPT2AC the right choice when flaps stall on hard scale, corrosion, or thick alkyd and epoxy buildup. The hub converts to a 3M RotoPeen flap hub in minutes when you move from heavy removal to a recoat profile.

RPT2AC Applications and Environments
Use the RPT2AC for coating removal and surface profiling ahead of recoat on bridge steel, ship and barge decks, and structural members. It strips line-stripe and floor markings, lifts non-slip coatings, and prepares welds and patches. The shrouded design suits dust-controlled job sites, SSPC-NACE surface-prep contracts, and lead-paint removal where containment is required.

Shipping & Returns

Freight deliveries: inspect your equipment on arrival and note any damage on the delivery receipt. Items damaged in transit or defective on arrival are fully covered at no cost to you.
Cancellations: cancel any time before your order ships. Refunds are issued for the order total minus a non-refundable payment processing fee, which may apply, so a cancellation is not always a 100% refund. No fee is deducted if we cancel the order or the item arrives damaged or defective.
