The HD-SH3 short-handle scaling hammer drives three tungsten carbide cruciform pistons at 2,500 blows per minute each, tripling the impact footprint of the single head for faster take-down. The 9-inch handle keeps the tool compact for overhead, vertical, and confined work where a longer handle is awkward. Crews running structural steel, marine, and concrete surface prep use it on pack rust, laminar rust, thick mill scale, epoxy, and non-skid coatings.
HD-SH3 Short Handle: Three-Piston Output in a Compact Tool
Three pistons firing at 3 x 2,500 BPM cover a wider strip per pass than the single head, clearing flat surfaces faster at the cost of more air and weight. Two live air inlets let the operator set the handle inline or perpendicular to the work. The 9-inch handle, compared with the 18-inch long version, shortens the tool for tank interiors, overhead beams, and confined positions. The screw-top cap opens each head for field piston replacement, and nylon brush seals wipe the pistons every stroke.
