The HD-SH1 short-handle scaling hammer drives one tungsten carbide cruciform piston at 2,500 blows per minute to fracture material that needle scalers cannot lift. The 9-inch handle keeps the tool compact for overhead, vertical, and confined work where a longer handle gets in the way. Crews running structural steel, marine, and concrete surface prep use it on pack rust, laminar rust, thick mill scale, epoxy, and non-skid coatings.
HD-SH1 Short Handle: Compact Single-Piston Tool for Confined Work
The single-piston head puts the full air charge into one impact point, giving close control along weld seams, edges, and fittings. The 9-inch handle, compared with the 18-inch long version, shortens the tool for tank interiors, beam webs, overhead beams, and other confined positions where reach matters less than handling. The screw-top cap opens for field head and piston replacement, and the nylon brush seal wipes the piston each stroke to extend life.

HD-SH1 Short Handle Applications and Environments
Structural steel: removes pack rust, laminar rust, and high-build coatings from beams, plate, and weldments, including overhead and confined positions. Marine: strips deck coatings, non-skid, and corrosion in tanks and tight superstructure areas. Concrete: take-down of slab surfaces, plus texturing and aggregate exposure when fitted with the bush hammer head.

Cancellations: cancel any time before your order ships. Refunds are issued for the order total minus the non-refundable payment processing fee (2.9% + $0.30), so a cancellation is not always a 100% refund. No fee is deducted if we cancel the order or the item arrives damaged or defective.
