The HD-SH1 long-handle scaling hammer drives one tungsten carbide cruciform piston at 2,500 blows per minute, fracturing material that needle scalers leave behind. Crews running structural steel repaints, marine deck recoats, and concrete prep use it on pack rust, laminar rust, thick mill scale, epoxy, and non-skid coatings. The 18-inch handle adds standoff distance, so operators reach deck plate, beam webs, and floor-level work without bending over the tool.
HD-SH1 Long Handle: Single-Piston Control with Extended Reach
The single-piston head concentrates the full air charge into one impact point, which gives the operator close control along edges, weld seams, and around fittings where a triple head is too wide. Choosing the long handle over the 9-inch short handle trades some maneuverability in tight quarters for reach and a more upright working posture on deck and slab surfaces. The screw-top cap opens for head and piston replacement without a press, and a nylon brush seal wipes the piston on every stroke to extend service life.

Structural steel: removes pack rust, laminar rust, and high-build coatings from beams, plate, and weldments. Marine: strips deck coatings, non-skid, and corrosion on hulls and superstructure. Concrete: rapid take-down of slab surfaces, plus texturing and aggregate exposure for bonding overlays when fitted with the bush hammer head.

Cancellations: cancel any time before your order ships. Refunds are issued for the order total minus the non-refundable payment processing fee (2.9% + $0.30), so a cancellation is not always a 100% refund. No fee is deducted if we cancel the order or the item arrives damaged or defective.
