Contained blast system recovery starts with the Novatek CBS Kit A, an entry-level single-pump vacuum for collecting abrasives and normal, non-hazardous coating material. Its 360 cfm output flow supports recovery through up to 4 vacuum ports for contained blasting or multi-port tool collection. A heavy-duty cartridge filter comes standard. This kit has no HEPA stage and is for normal coatings, not hazardous coatings such as lead paint.
CBS Kit A Adapts Existing Blast Equipment
Pair CBS Kit A with the separately sold CBS Workhead to adapt existing open blast equipment for contained blast system recovery. The setup supports brush-off blasting through white metal finishes. It also operates as an MCV multi-port vacuum for vacuum-shrouded needle scalers, scabblers, and roto-peen tools. Material collects in a customer-supplied drum, and the system breaks down into stages for transport between work areas. Kit A provides single-pump recovery without the additional pump or HEPA stage found in other CBS configurations.
CBS Kit A for Shipyard and Facility Surface Preparation
Contractors and shipyard crews can use CBS Kit A for abrasive blasting and normal-coating removal. Facility maintenance teams can connect vacuum-shrouded tools for scaling, scabbling, and roto-peen preparation. Restoration and abatement firms should use this configuration only for non-hazardous coating work. Hazardous coatings require a different configuration because CBS Kit A does not include HEPA filtration.
