The Namco 2126-GREEN is a 20-inch corded floor burnisher running a 1.5 HP motor at 1,500 RPM. The polished aluminum and chrome housing reflects the fit-and-finish standard expected in professional burnishing machines. At 1,500 RPM, the 2126-GREEN sits in the mid-range burnisher speed class—faster than low-speed buffers (175–320 RPM) but below ultra-high-speed burnishers (2,000–3,000 RPM) that require spray-coat finish systems.
2126-GREEN Motor, Speed, and Housing Construction
Motor: 1.5 HP — sustained output at 1,500 RPM under pad load on VCT and terrazzo finish systems.
Speed: 1,500 RPM — mid-range burnishing speed; compatible with most commercial VCT finish systems designed for high-speed burnishing.
Pad size: 20 inch — standard burnishing pad diameter; accepts 20-inch high-speed pads in tan, natural, or red configurations.
Cord: 50 ft — covers standard commercial room footprints without extension cords.
Housing: polished aluminum and chrome — corrosion-resistant motor cover; maintains appearance in high-frequency burnishing environments.
High-Gloss Burnishing Applications for the 2126-GREEN
1,500 RPM burnishing produces a wet-look gloss on VCT floors finished with burnish-able finish systems containing metal cross-linking compounds (zinc, polyurethane, or acrylic hybrids). The friction-generated heat from 1,500 RPM pad contact partially melts the finish surface, flowing and leveling it to a mirror-like gloss that low-speed spray buffing (175–320 RPM) cannot achieve. Schools, hospitals, retail chains, and institutional facilities with high-gloss VCT maintenance programs run 1,500 RPM burnishers like the 2126-GREEN on a daily or weekly schedule to maintain peak floor appearance without recoating.
Burnishing Pad Selection at 1,500 RPM
At 1,500 RPM, use high-speed burnishing pads specifically rated for mid-range to high-speed machines—tan or natural pads for maintained gloss, red pads for more aggressive leveling on worn areas. Standard low-speed buffer pads (black, green) are not designed for 1,500 RPM and will degrade quickly and potentially damage finish at this speed. Compatible finish systems include conventional VCT finishes labeled as high-speed or burnishable, and metal-interlock systems commonly used in healthcare and institutional facilities. Do not use on wax finishes or systems labeled for low-speed buffing only.
What RPM does the Namco 2126-GREEN burnisher run at?
The 2126-GREEN runs at 1,500 RPM—mid-range burnisher speed. This is faster than low-speed buffers (175–320 RPM) and compatible with most commercial VCT finish systems designed for high-speed burnishing.
What finish systems work with the Namco 2126-GREEN burnisher?
The 2126-GREEN works with burnishable VCT finish systems—conventional finishes and metal-interlock systems labeled for high-speed or burnishable use. Do not use with wax finishes or systems labeled for low-speed buffing only.
What pads should I use with the Namco 2126-GREEN at 1,500 RPM?
Use high-speed burnishing pads rated for mid-range to high-speed machines—tan or natural for maintained gloss, red for more aggressive leveling on worn areas. Standard low-speed buffer pads (black, green) are not rated for 1,500 RPM operation.
What is the pad size on the Namco 2126-GREEN?
The 2126-GREEN uses a 20-inch pad. Standard 20-inch high-speed burnishing pads in tan, natural, and red are compatible.
How long is the power cord on the Namco 2126-GREEN?
The 2126-GREEN has a 50-foot power cord, covering standard commercial room layouts without an extension cord.
What floor types does the Namco 2126-GREEN burnisher work on?
The 2126-GREEN burnishes VCT, terrazzo, and sealed concrete floors finished with burnishable finish systems. The 1,500 RPM pad speed generates heat that flows and levels the finish surface to a high-gloss result.

Located in the Twin Cities in Minnesota, we acquired our Brio Air Filter in mid-late Spring of this year (2023) when pollen count was high and we were beginning to experience the effects of Poor Air Quality Index as a result of smoke particulates from fires in Canada that caused the air in much of Minnesota to become hazy and simply dirty.
It is so easy to share our experience with the Brio Air Filter given how quickly and efficiently it removed pollen, dust, and smoke particles from the environment inside our home. Two people in our home who suffer from pollen-related allergies during the spring immediately experienced easier breathing and elimination of symptoms within the house. With respect to smoke particulates from Canada drifting into our environment, EVERYONE in our home experienced directly improved breathing and smell of the air when entering from outside.
An additional piece of information to account for is that we have always employed high grade furnace filters in our home’s central HVAC system. With that high grade filtration in place both prior to and after acquiring a Brio home air filter, we all quickly agreed that deploying the Brio in our home made an easily noticeable positive difference in breathing inside our home. Additionally, those of us who clean our home have observed that dust builds up slower on our floors and furniture than before we deployed the Brio unit.
We did note that the Brio is not as quiet as a few other brands/models on the market that we have tried in our home but the efficiency and quality of the filtration, along with the air turnover rate it provides, allows us to locate the Brio unit in central rooms away from the bedrooms. Since we made that change there has been no noise-related effect on our sleep, while the unit maintains the same level of air cleanliness throughout our home.
A last key point to make is how easy the Brio unit is to maintain. The simplicity of the modular construction of the Brio unit makes it very quick and easy to keep the filtration sections clean. We have not yet reached a point of filter replacement but it is obvious to us that the replacement will take a matter of seconds and can be executed by anyone in our home, including our 10-year-old son.
It seems to help reduce my allergy issues. We're glad we bought it. The only problem I had was not seeing any cubic footage recommendations in the online description when purchasing the unit. Bedrooms vary widely in size!!
