The NaceCare DP 620 (part number 8025116) is the 22-inch version of NaceCare's cylindrical Hydrowasher platform — the same counter-rotating cylindrical brush technology as the 14-inch DP 420, scaled up to a 22-inch path with a 1,500W brush motor for 6,000 square feet per hour on hard floors and mixed-surface environments. At 82 lbs, 57 lb brush pressure, 750 RPM, and 64 dB(A), this machine delivers precision cylindrical brush agitation in larger commercial spaces where the DP 420's 14-inch path would require too many passes.
DP 620 22-Inch Cylindrical Brush Performance vs. the DP 420
22" cleaning path / 6,000 sq ft/hr: covers 50% more floor per hour than the 14-inch DP 420 (4,000 sq ft/hr) at the same cleaning speed; appropriate for larger restrooms, corridors, and commercial kitchens where the 14-inch machine would require excessive passes.
1,500W brush motor: 50% more motor power than the DP 420 (1,000W), driving the wider cylindrical brush at consistent 750 RPM across the full 22-inch path without speed reduction under load.
Counter-rotating cylindrical brushes, 57 lb pressure: same cleaning mechanism as the DP 420 — brushes converge and lift soil from grout, textured surfaces, rubber, and carpet without the surface-profile limitations of flat disc pads.
Offset brush and drive unit: brush assembly extends to the machine edge for wall-to-baseboard cleaning without a separate edge pass.
64 dB(A) noise level: same quiet operation as the DP 420 despite the wider path and higher motor power; suitable for occupied commercial environments.
2-gal solution / 2-gal recovery tanks: larger recovery tank than the DP 420 (1 gal), consistent with the higher water flow handling from a wider 22-inch brush system.
Commercial Facility Applications and DP 420 vs. DP 620 Selection
The DP 420 (14") is the right choice for single restrooms, small break rooms, escalator treads, and confined areas where the 22-inch machine cannot maneuver. The DP 620 (22") is the right choice for larger restroom facilities, commercial kitchen floors, wide corridors, and open retail areas where the 14-inch machine would be inefficiently slow. Both machines are appropriate for mixed-surface facilities that require the same machine to handle grouted tile, rubber, textured concrete, and carpet cleaning with brush changes between surface types.
DP 620 Operation and Multi-Surface Brush Options
The trigger-controlled solution dispensing makes DP 620 operation straightforward — fill tanks, position, and pull the trigger. Brush selection is the primary performance variable: black brushes for aggressive hard floor scrubbing, grey for all-purpose use on standard commercial floors, and yellow for carpet interim maintenance. The offset brush design cleans right to baseboards on each pass, reducing the time-consuming hand-cleaning that flat disc machines require along floor edges.

Frequently Asked Questions
How does the DP 620 differ from the DP 420?
The DP 620 has a 22-inch cleaning path and 1,500W motor, versus the DP 420's 14-inch path and 1,000W motor. The DP 620 covers 6,000 sq ft/hr compared to the DP 420's 4,000 sq ft/hr. Choose the DP 620 for larger restrooms, commercial kitchens, and wide corridors where the 14-inch machine would require too many passes.
What brush speed does the NaceCare DP 620 operate at?
The DP 620 operates its counter-rotating cylindrical brushes at 750 RPM with 57 lbs of brush pressure. The 1,500W motor maintains this speed across the full 22-inch brush path without slowing under load on heavily soiled or textured floor surfaces.
Can the DP 620 clean carpet and hard floors with the same machine?
Yes. By switching brush heads — black for hard floor scrubbing, grey for general use, yellow for carpet — the DP 620 adapts between hard floor scrubbing and carpet interim maintenance cleaning. This eliminates the need for a separate carpet maintenance machine in facilities with mixed flooring types.
Does the DP 620 clean right up to walls and baseboards?
Yes. The offset brush and drive unit design extends the cylindrical brushes to the machine edge, allowing cleaning right up to baseboards without leaving an uncleaned strip along walls. This eliminates the separate edge-cleaning step required after most disc scrubbers.
How loud is the NaceCare DP 620?
The DP 620 operates at 64 dB(A), the same as the smaller DP 420 despite having a wider path and more powerful motor. 64 dB is approximately normal conversation volume, suitable for cleaning during occupied hours in hospitals, schools, hotels, and retail stores.
What types of floors can the DP 620 clean?
The DP 620 cleans grouted tile, rubber flooring, textured concrete, hardwood, ceramic, and carpet (with appropriate brush heads). The cylindrical brush design reaches into surface texture and grout joints that flat disc scrubbers ride over without agitating, making it effective on surfaces that disc machines clean poorly.

Located in the Twin Cities in Minnesota, we acquired our Brio Air Filter in mid-late Spring of this year (2023) when pollen count was high and we were beginning to experience the effects of Poor Air Quality Index as a result of smoke particulates from fires in Canada that caused the air in much of Minnesota to become hazy and simply dirty.
It is so easy to share our experience with the Brio Air Filter given how quickly and efficiently it removed pollen, dust, and smoke particles from the environment inside our home. Two people in our home who suffer from pollen-related allergies during the spring immediately experienced easier breathing and elimination of symptoms within the house. With respect to smoke particulates from Canada drifting into our environment, EVERYONE in our home experienced directly improved breathing and smell of the air when entering from outside.
An additional piece of information to account for is that we have always employed high grade furnace filters in our home’s central HVAC system. With that high grade filtration in place both prior to and after acquiring a Brio home air filter, we all quickly agreed that deploying the Brio in our home made an easily noticeable positive difference in breathing inside our home. Additionally, those of us who clean our home have observed that dust builds up slower on our floors and furniture than before we deployed the Brio unit.
We did note that the Brio is not as quiet as a few other brands/models on the market that we have tried in our home but the efficiency and quality of the filtration, along with the air turnover rate it provides, allows us to locate the Brio unit in central rooms away from the bedrooms. Since we made that change there has been no noise-related effect on our sleep, while the unit maintains the same level of air cleanliness throughout our home.
A last key point to make is how easy the Brio unit is to maintain. The simplicity of the modular construction of the Brio unit makes it very quick and easy to keep the filtration sections clean. We have not yet reached a point of filter replacement but it is obvious to us that the replacement will take a matter of seconds and can be executed by anyone in our home, including our 10-year-old son.
It seems to help reduce my allergy issues. We're glad we bought it. The only problem I had was not seeing any cubic footage recommendations in the online description when purchasing the unit. Bedrooms vary widely in size!!
