Nacecare DHB 420: 14" Cylindrical Floor Scrubber with 48V Battery and Steam Hydrowashing in One Machine
The Nacecare DHB 420 Deluxe combines three capabilities in a single 14-inch cylindrical floor care machine: battery-powered cordless scrubbing, 110V plug-in scrubbing with unlimited runtime, and steam-enhanced sanitizing via the included Hybrid Box (H-Box). Two counter-rotating cylindrical brushes spin at 750 RPM with 57 lbs of brush pressure and 800,000 bristles, lifting embedded dirt from grout lines, textured floors, and carpet fibers simultaneously. The 48V lithium battery delivers 50 minutes of runtime and recharges fully in one hour — and when plugged into the H-Box on 110V, the machine runs indefinitely while adding 1,500W steam sanitizing to the cleaning pass.

48V battery: 50-minute runtime, 1-hour full recharge — one of the fastest charge cycles in its class
H-Box (Hybrid Box) adds 110V plug-in mode with unlimited runtime and 1,500W steam boiler for chemical-free sanitization
500W brush motor with 16W pump; 1-gallon solution tank and 1-gallon recovery tank
Cleans right to baseboards with no missed edges; 4,000 sq ft/hr productivity rate
Quiet 64 dB(A) operation — suitable for schools, hospitals, and occupied retail environments
Multi-Surface Applications Across Healthcare, Hospitality, and Retail
The DHB 420's cylindrical brush design sets it apart from disc scrubbers on multi-surface and grouted floors. The counter-rotating action sweeps dry debris into the recovery path while simultaneously scrubbing and extracting wet soil — eliminating the separate sweep step required by disc machines. In healthcare facilities, the steam function sanitizes hard corridor floors and textured tile in patient areas without chemical residue that could trigger sensitivities. Hospitality operations clean restaurant dining floors, hotel lobby tile, and commercial kitchen non-slip surfaces in a single pass. Retail and education facilities benefit from the 64 dB(A) quiet operation, which allows cleaning during occupied hours. The machine also handles carpeted areas, rubberized sport floors, escalator steps, and moving walkways — making it a facility-wide solution rather than a single-surface tool.
Cylindrical Brush Mechanics, Steam Integration, and Runtime Details
The DHB 420's cylindrical brushes rotate in opposite directions — one forward, one reverse — so the machine cleans equally well in both travel directions without repositioning. The 800,000 bristle density means each brush pass contacts grout channels and textured surfaces that flat disc pads ride over. The 1-gallon solution tank dispenses cleaning fluid to both brushes simultaneously; the 1-gallon recovery tank captures dirty water and solid debris via transport belts that separate liquid and solid recovery. In steam mode via the H-Box, the 1,500W steam boiler injects steam ahead of the brushes for chemical-free thermal sanitizing — compliant with environments that prohibit chemical cleaning agents. Battery runtime of 50 minutes covers approximately 3,300 sq ft at the rated 4,000 sq ft/hr productivity before recharging; plug-in mode via H-Box provides unlimited coverage. Weight is 69 lbs including brushes and a full solution tank, making the machine one-person maneuverable.

What is the battery runtime and charge time of the DHB 420?
The 48V lithium battery delivers 50 minutes of runtime and recharges fully in 1 hour — one of the fastest charge cycles in the 14-inch cylindrical scrubber class. Plug-in operation via the included H-Box provides unlimited runtime on 110V.
How does the steam function work on the DHB 420 Deluxe?
The included Hybrid Box (H-Box) adds a 1,500W steam boiler that injects steam ahead of the counter-rotating cylindrical brushes when the machine is operated on 110V. This enables chemical-free thermal sanitizing in a single cleaning pass — no separate steam cleaner required.
What brush speed and pressure does the DHB 420 use?
The two counter-rotating cylindrical brushes spin at 750 RPM with 57 lbs of brush pressure. The 800,000 bristle density means the brushes make contact inside grout channels and on textured surfaces that flat disc pads cannot reach.
What is the solution tank and recovery tank capacity?
Both the solution tank and recovery tank hold 1 US gallon each. The solution is dispensed simultaneously to both cylindrical brushes; the recovery system captures dirty water and solid debris via transport belts that separate liquid and solid waste.
What floor types can the DHB 420 clean?
The DHB 420 cleans hard floors (tile, vinyl, stone, concrete), grouted surfaces, rubberized sport floors, carpeted areas, escalator steps, and moving walkways. The cylindrical brush design cleans in both travel directions without repositioning — unlike disc scrubbers that only clean on the forward pass.
How productive is the Nacecare DHB 420?
The DHB 420 is rated at 4,000 sq ft/hr. On a full 50-minute battery charge, it covers approximately 3,300 sq ft before recharging. In plug-in H-Box mode, it can maintain that productivity rate continuously across unlimited square footage.
How noisy is the DHB 420 during operation?
The DHB 420 operates at 64 dB(A) — comparable to a normal conversation — making it suitable for cleaning during occupied hours in schools, healthcare facilities, retail stores, and hotels without disrupting occupants.

Located in the Twin Cities in Minnesota, we acquired our Brio Air Filter in mid-late Spring of this year (2023) when pollen count was high and we were beginning to experience the effects of Poor Air Quality Index as a result of smoke particulates from fires in Canada that caused the air in much of Minnesota to become hazy and simply dirty.
It is so easy to share our experience with the Brio Air Filter given how quickly and efficiently it removed pollen, dust, and smoke particles from the environment inside our home. Two people in our home who suffer from pollen-related allergies during the spring immediately experienced easier breathing and elimination of symptoms within the house. With respect to smoke particulates from Canada drifting into our environment, EVERYONE in our home experienced directly improved breathing and smell of the air when entering from outside.
An additional piece of information to account for is that we have always employed high grade furnace filters in our home’s central HVAC system. With that high grade filtration in place both prior to and after acquiring a Brio home air filter, we all quickly agreed that deploying the Brio in our home made an easily noticeable positive difference in breathing inside our home. Additionally, those of us who clean our home have observed that dust builds up slower on our floors and furniture than before we deployed the Brio unit.
We did note that the Brio is not as quiet as a few other brands/models on the market that we have tried in our home but the efficiency and quality of the filtration, along with the air turnover rate it provides, allows us to locate the Brio unit in central rooms away from the bedrooms. Since we made that change there has been no noise-related effect on our sleep, while the unit maintains the same level of air cleanliness throughout our home.
A last key point to make is how easy the Brio unit is to maintain. The simplicity of the modular construction of the Brio unit makes it very quick and easy to keep the filtration sections clean. We have not yet reached a point of filter replacement but it is obvious to us that the replacement will take a matter of seconds and can be executed by anyone in our home, including our 10-year-old son.
It seems to help reduce my allergy issues. We're glad we bought it. The only problem I had was not seeing any cubic footage recommendations in the online description when purchasing the unit. Bedrooms vary widely in size!!
