Mercury 1708 replacement pad holding assembly

The Mercury 1708 has a 16" driver block that fits 17" floor machines, according to the Mercury brush and pad driver fitment chart. It replaces a worn pad driver. Harpoon-style bristles grip the floor pad from above and keep it flat under load. The assembly comes with a 1" riser and a B / 92 style universal clutch plate.
