The lamp degrades to roughly 60% output by the 9,000-hour mark — it still glows, but hydroxyl production drops significantly. The carbon filter saturates over time and stops capturing VOCs effectively. This kit replaces both in one order.

One replacement germicidal UVC bulb rated for ~9,000 hours. One activated carbon filter pad sized for the HG1500 housing. When to Replace
Replace on an annual schedule regardless of visible wear — lamp output degrades gradually and isn't visible to the naked eye.
