The Hawk Glide Freedom HD 17" (F91-17-01) applies the forward-motion control system and floating head design to a 1.5 HP dual-capacitor motor running at 175 RPM through 10:1 helical-cut gears. At this speed and gear ratio, the machine is optimized for heavy-duty scrubbing, spray buffing, and routine maintenance on VCT, polished concrete, and sealed stone floors. At 113 lbs, it's lighter and more maneuverable than the Merlin WD platform while providing full commercial-grade floor care performance.

- 1.5 HP dual-capacitor, 6.7A, 175 RPM — draws 6.7 amps, among the lowest draws for a 1.5 HP commercial floor machine; reliable starting under load without the inrush current spikes of single-capacitor designs.
- 10:1 helical-cut gears, floating head — 10:1 ratio balances torque and speed for 175 RPM maintenance work; helical-cut gears operate more quietly than straight-cut at this torque level; WD floating pivot maintains full pad contact on worn VCT and uneven tile joints.
- Forward-motion control, 4-position handle — straight-line forward-and-back operation reduces the lateral shoulder strain of conventional buffing; 4-position handle lock accommodates operators from 5'2" to 6'4" without handle modification.

Cancellations: cancel any time before your order ships. Refunds are issued for the order total minus the non-refundable payment processing fee (2.9% + $0.30), so a cancellation is not always a 100% refund. No fee is deducted if we cancel the order or the item arrives damaged or defective.
