DD400-E Desiccant Dehumidifier for Sub-Zero Drying

The Ebac DD400-E uses a desiccant rotor rather than a refrigeration cycle, so it keeps drying in cold air where a compressor unit drops off. It runs to -4°F, moves 271 CFM of process air on a 220V single-phase supply, and targets the low humidity levels that refrigerant units cannot reach.

  • Drying down to -4°F keeps the unit working in cold stores and winter sites where a refrigerant coil would frost and stall
  • Silica-gel rotor reaches the low relative humidity that moisture-sensitive materials and coatings need
  • 271 CFM process air with a separate 80 CFM regen stream dries the space while exhausting captured moisture outside
  • High-capacity PTC heaters regenerate the rotor efficiently and modulate with the load
  • Manual and automatic modes with a remote humidity sensor facility let an operator run a fixed output or hold a setpoint
  • Carry handles on a compact 59.5 lb cabinet make it a one-person move between rooms

DD400-E Applications and Environments

The DD400-E fits cold storage, pharmaceutical and laboratory rooms, coating and paint booths, and restoration drying in unheated structures. Because it captures moisture on a desiccant rather than condensing it, it serves walk-in freezers, server and battery rooms, and archive storage where the target humidity is well below what refrigerant units hold. The separate process and regeneration ducts let an installer keep dry air in the room while sending wet air outdoors.
