DP-SPW1117 24-Inch Surface Cleaner for High-Square-Footage Concrete Work

The DP-SPW1117 runs a 24-inch stainless steel cleaning disc rated to 4350 PSI, the widest path in the Dapper Supply surface-cleaner line. Two rotating nozzles lay down an even arc so concrete and asphalt come out without the stripe lines a wand leaves, and four 360-degree casters keep the head gliding at a fixed standoff across flat surfaces.

DP-SPW1117 Coverage and Connection

  • 24-inch cleaning disc — covers a full parking stall or patio in fewer passes, cutting labor hours on open concrete.
  • 4350 PSI rated pressure — accepts the full output of commercial gas pressure washers; pair with a machine of 2500 PSI or higher for consistent results.
  • Dual rotating nozzles — spin an even spray across the 24-inch arc so no stripe patterns are left behind.
  • Two hose adapters plus 3/8" QC inlet — M22 and quick-connect fittings connect to most gas and electric pressure washers without sourcing extra parts.
  • Four 360-degree casters — hold consistent nozzle height and steer around obstacles on flat surfaces.
  • Splash-free skirt — a circular brush keeps overspray and debris contained around the head.
  • Stainless steel construction — resists corrosion under daily contractor use.

DP-SPW1117 Applications and Environments

Pressure washing contractors run the DP-SPW1117 on parking lots, fleet yards, and warehouse aprons where the 24-inch disc clears more square footage per session than a narrower head. Municipal public works crews clean transit platforms, stadium concourses, and public plazas inside tight maintenance windows where pass efficiency decides whether the job finishes on time. Facility managers use it on machine-shop foundations and exterior truck wash lanes to hold down labor cost per square foot. The splash-free skirt keeps overspray off adjacent storefronts and parked vehicles, which matters on occupied commercial sites. Match it to a pressure washer at or above 2500 PSI so the rotating nozzles hold speed across the full width.

Frequently Asked Questions

How much more area does the 24-inch model cover per hour versus 15-inch?
Assuming equal operator speed, a 24-inch path covers 60% more surface per pass than a 15-inch path. On a 10,000 sq ft parking lot, the 24-inch model needs approximately 69 passes versus 111 passes for the 15-inch — approximately 40% fewer passes at the same walking speed.
What pressure washer output is required for the 24-inch path at 4350 PSI?
A 24-inch rotating surface cleaner requires more GPM than smaller models to maintain nozzle rotation speed and even coverage. Minimum 3.5–4.0 GPM is typically recommended. Contact us for the exact minimum flow specification for the DP-SPW1117.
Is a 24-inch surface cleaner too large for residential driveways?
A 24-inch cleaner is harder to maneuver on narrow residential driveways (under 18 feet) and around borders, pillars, and building corners. For most residential applications, 15–18 inch models are easier to control. The 24-inch model is optimized for open commercial pads and parking lots.
How does the uniform spray coverage of rotating nozzles work?
Two nozzles are mounted on a balanced bar that spins around a central axle driven by the water pressure. As they rotate, each nozzle sweeps a 12-inch arc. The two nozzles together cover the full 24-inch diameter, maintaining equal standoff distance from the surface throughout the rotation.
Can this cleaner be used with a surface cleaning detergent?
Most rotating surface cleaners can accept downstream chemical injection through the connected pressure washer's chemical injector. Confirm compatibility with your pressure washer's detergent injection system before adding cleaning chemicals — introduce detergent through the machine, not directly into the surface cleaner.
What maintenance schedule is recommended for commercial-frequency use?
For daily commercial use, flush with clean water after each session, inspect nozzle tips weekly for wear, and check swivel O-rings monthly for seal integrity. Replace nozzle tips when spray pattern becomes oval or uneven — typically every 50–100 hours of use at high PSI.
How does the 24-inch model handle expansion joints in commercial concrete?
Expansion joints and control joints create gaps the surface cleaner wheel base can cross without significant pressure variation. For joints wider than 1/2 inch, debris can accumulate in the gap — follow up with a direct lance wand on joint lines to clear packed debris the surface cleaner cannot reach.
