Tar-Trap filters are the first stage in the AllerAir AirMedic Pro 6 Ultra, and they exist for one job: catching the sticky, tar-bearing particulate that smoke leaves behind before it reaches the HEPA and carbon.
How often should Tar-Trap filters be changed?
AllerAir recommends every three to six months, depending on how much smoke the room produces. AllerAir lists environments with smoke, tobacco, cannabis, industrial fumes and heavy particulate pollution.
What the pack does

Service notes
AllerAir recommends replacing the Tar-Trap every three to six months depending on conditions, and a heavy-smoke room sits at the short end of that. The larger pack is the cheaper route per filter if the machine runs in a smoking environment, since the change interval is short by design.
