Triton 440 Ozone-Free HEPA Filtration for Occupied Rooms

The Triton 440 is built for spaces that stay occupied. It is ozone-free mechanical filtration, H13 HEPA at 99.97% and 0.3 micron, moving 440 CFM through the filters on 165 W. Speed is continuously variable rather than stepped, which matters when the unit has to be quiet enough that staff leave it running instead of switching it off after an hour.

Two numbers decide whether a purifier gets used: how much air it actually cleans, and how loud it is doing it.

Triton 440 Applications and Environments

Air-Care lists healthcare facilities, schools, offices, and homes as the intended applications, and the unit is made in the USA. Waiting rooms, treatment rooms, classrooms, conference rooms, and open-plan offices are the typical placements, along with restoration jobs where a HEPA unit needs to run in a space the occupants have not left. For the three to four air changes per hour generally targeted in occupied areas, size the room below 1,300 sq ft or place a second unit rather than relying on one machine to cover an open floor.
