ICRA Construction Environments and Compliance Applications
The AG3000MCCC is designed specifically for Infection Control Risk Assessment (ICRA) Class III and Class IV construction activities in active healthcare facilities. Hospitals undergoing HVAC reroutes, lighting upgrades, or fire suppression retrofits above occupied clinical areas use the AG3000MCCC to isolate ceiling penetrations from patient zones below. The enclosure prevents disturbed particulate, fibrous insulation debris, and Aspergillus spores from reaching adjacent corridors or rooms during above-tile work. University medical centers and ambulatory surgery centers rely on the cube's compliance with CDC infection control guidelines and CSA Z317.13-03 construction standards to satisfy infection control committees before work begins. Office towers and corporate campuses undergoing tenant improvements use the cube to contain drywall dust and ceiling tile debris in occupied buildings where shutting down adjacent spaces is not feasible. The 900-lb caddy cart eliminates the repeated trips carrying equipment between floors that slow ICRA-compliant setup and teardown.
ICRA Cube Dimensions, Negative Pressure Setup, and Containment Standards
The AG3000MCCC cube packed dimensions are 30" × 60" × 10", making it transportable in standard service elevators. When erected, the aluminum frame supports the PVC enclosure at heights from a minimum of 7 feet lowered to a maximum of 10 feet extended (3 meters), accommodating the full range of standard commercial drop-ceiling heights. Negative pressure inside the cube is achieved by connecting a compatible HEPA air scrubber or negative air machine (sold separately) to the passthrough ventilation port — the machine exhausts filtered air outside the enclosure while the sealed PVC walls prevent unfiltered air from escaping the work zone, establishing a sustained negative pressure differential that pulls any disturbed particulate toward the filtration unit rather than outward. The AG3000MCCC meets JCAHO EC.5.50.2 for Smoke-Tight Enclosures, CDC infection control construction guidelines, CSA Z317.13-03, AIA/ASHE guidelines, NFPA 701 Life Safety Code, and CA Fire Marshall FR specifications (Federal Std. 191A, Test Method 5903, MVSS 302). It is not a powered device and does not include a HEPA air scrubber or HEPA vacuum.
What ceiling height range does the AG3000MCCC accommodate?
The AG3000MCCC adjusts from a minimum lowered height of 7 feet to a maximum erected height of 10 feet (3 meters). Numbered upright poles allow precise incremental height adjustments to fit the enclosure tightly against ceilings ranging from 8 to 10 feet without gaps that would compromise containment.
How is negative pressure achieved inside the AG3000MCCC?
Negative pressure is created by connecting a compatible HEPA air scrubber or negative air machine (sold separately) to the cube's passthrough ventilation port. The machine exhausts HEPA-filtered air outside the enclosure while the sealed PVC walls prevent unfiltered air from escaping, creating a sustained negative pressure differential that draws disturbed particulate toward the filtration unit.
What compliance standards does the AG3000MCCC meet?
The AG3000MCCC meets JCAHO EC.5.50.2 for Smoke-Tight Enclosures, CDC infection control construction guidelines, CSA Z317.13-03, AIA/ASHE guidelines, NFPA 701 Life Safety Code, and CA Fire Marshall FR specifications under Federal Std. 191A Test Method 5903 and MVSS 302. These certifications support ICRA documentation required by hospital infection control committees.
Does the AG3000MCCC include a HEPA air scrubber or vacuum?
No. The AG3000MCCC is the containment enclosure and caddy cart only. HEPA air scrubbers and HEPA vacuums must be purchased separately and connected via the integrated ports, which accommodate up to 3 vacuum hoses plus a passthrough ventilation port for a negative air machine.
What is the airflow capacity through the AG3000MCCC's ports?
The AG3000MCCC supports 300–900 CFM of airflow through its integrated ports, achieving 12 or more air changes per hour within an enclosed volume of 3,500–4,000 cubic feet — consistent with ICRA Class III and IV containment requirements for active healthcare construction.
What is the caddy cart's weight capacity, and what can it hold?
The included caddy cart is rated to 900 lbs and features six adjustable positions and a slide-out design. It is sized to hold air scrubbers, HEPA vacuums, cable spools, tools, and supplies, consolidating all job equipment into a single mobile unit for transport between floors or work areas.
What are the packed dimensions of the AG3000MCCC for transport?
When packed, the AG3000MCCC measures 30" × 60" × 10", making it transportable in standard commercial service elevators. The aircraft-aluminum frame and PVC enclosure disassemble without tools for compact storage and transport between job sites.

Located in the Twin Cities in Minnesota, we acquired our Brio Air Filter in mid-late Spring of this year (2023) when pollen count was high and we were beginning to experience the effects of Poor Air Quality Index as a result of smoke particulates from fires in Canada that caused the air in much of Minnesota to become hazy and simply dirty.
It is so easy to share our experience with the Brio Air Filter given how quickly and efficiently it removed pollen, dust, and smoke particles from the environment inside our home. Two people in our home who suffer from pollen-related allergies during the spring immediately experienced easier breathing and elimination of symptoms within the house. With respect to smoke particulates from Canada drifting into our environment, EVERYONE in our home experienced directly improved breathing and smell of the air when entering from outside.
An additional piece of information to account for is that we have always employed high grade furnace filters in our home’s central HVAC system. With that high grade filtration in place both prior to and after acquiring a Brio home air filter, we all quickly agreed that deploying the Brio in our home made an easily noticeable positive difference in breathing inside our home. Additionally, those of us who clean our home have observed that dust builds up slower on our floors and furniture than before we deployed the Brio unit.
We did note that the Brio is not as quiet as a few other brands/models on the market that we have tried in our home but the efficiency and quality of the filtration, along with the air turnover rate it provides, allows us to locate the Brio unit in central rooms away from the bedrooms. Since we made that change there has been no noise-related effect on our sleep, while the unit maintains the same level of air cleanliness throughout our home.
A last key point to make is how easy the Brio unit is to maintain. The simplicity of the modular construction of the Brio unit makes it very quick and easy to keep the filtration sections clean. We have not yet reached a point of filter replacement but it is obvious to us that the replacement will take a matter of seconds and can be executed by anyone in our home, including our 10-year-old son.
It seems to help reduce my allergy issues. We're glad we bought it. The only problem I had was not seeing any cubic footage recommendations in the online description when purchasing the unit. Bedrooms vary widely in size!!
