Aerospace America

Aerospace America manufactures negative air machines and decontamination shower systems for professional abatement work. Machines are built from aircraft-grade aluminum in Bay City, Michigan, lighter than steel competitors and resistant to corrosion on wet job sites. Negative air units range from 600 to 1,950 CFM with three-stage HEPA filtration at 99.97% efficiency. Used by asbestos abatement contractors, mold remediation companies, and lead removal crews requiring OSHA-compliant containment systems.

Aerospace America Negative Air Machines and Decontamination Equipment

Negative Air Machines

Aerospace America's Aeroclean series covers the standard CFM range for containment work. The Aeroclean 2000 delivers up to 1,950 CFM through three-stage HEPA filtration capturing 99.97% of particles at 0.3 microns — the workhorse unit for standard abatement containment zones. The Full Feature model (9103) includes audio and visual filter-clog alarms so crews know when filters need changing without manually checking pressure drop. The Econo model (9143) delivers the same 1,950 CFM output in a slimmer profile for tight crawlspaces and mechanical rooms. The Aeroclean 600 Mag (9145) handles smaller containment zones at approximately 600 CFM in a compact frame. The Mighty Mite 1800 (9180) splits the difference at 1,800 CFM in a slim-body format. All units are built from aircraft-grade aluminum that resists corrosion on wet job sites and weighs significantly less than steel competitors — a meaningful advantage when carrying units up stairs and through containment entries multiple times per day.

Decontamination Showers and Containment Equipment

The Model 9105 Pop-Up collapsible decontamination shower is Aerospace America's original telescoping design. Two workers set it up in seconds. The unit includes a 100-micron drain filter, removable curtain, and handheld showerhead meeting multi-stage decontamination compliance requirements. Decontamination frames at 32 inches wide connect to form tunnels between contaminated and clean zones or serve as airlock chambers for personnel decontamination. The Model 9115 two-stage shower pump delivers consistent water pressure with quiet operation on isolation feet. The full containment setup — negative air machine, decon shower, and interconnecting frames — provides complete OSHA-compliant abatement infrastructure from one manufacturer with parts that are designed to work together.

Aircraft-Grade Aluminum Construction

Aerospace America uses aircraft-grade aluminum throughout their machines — the same material specification used in aerospace manufacturing for its strength-to-weight ratio and corrosion resistance. On abatement job sites where machines get wet, sit in contaminated areas, and are carried through tight spaces repeatedly, this construction matters. Steel units rust in moist environments and corrode when exposed to cleaning chemicals. Aluminum units stay clean, lightweight, and serviceable across years of demanding abatement work. Brio Air Filtration = Game Changer

Located in the Twin Cities in Minnesota, we acquired our Brio Air Filter in mid-late Spring of this year (2023) when pollen count was high and we were beginning to experience the effects of Poor Air Quality Index as a result of smoke particulates from fires in Canada that caused the air in much of Minnesota to become hazy and simply dirty.

It is so easy to share our experience with the Brio Air Filter given how quickly and efficiently it removed pollen, dust, and smoke particles from the environment inside our home. Two people in our home who suffer from pollen-related allergies during the spring immediately experienced easier breathing and elimination of symptoms within the house. With respect to smoke particulates from Canada drifting into our environment, EVERYONE in our home experienced directly improved breathing and smell of the air when entering from outside.

An additional piece of information to account for is that we have always employed high grade furnace filters in our home’s central HVAC system. With that high grade filtration in place both prior to and after acquiring a Brio home air filter, we all quickly agreed that deploying the Brio in our home made an easily noticeable positive difference in breathing inside our home. Additionally, those of us who clean our home have observed that dust builds up slower on our floors and furniture than before we deployed the Brio unit.

We did note that the Brio is not as quiet as a few other brands/models on the market that we have tried in our home but the efficiency and quality of the filtration, along with the air turnover rate it provides,allows us to locate the Brio unit in central rooms away from the bedrooms. Since we made that change there has been no noise-related effect on our sleep, while the unit maintains the same level of air cleanliness throughout our home.

A last key point to make is how easy the Brio unit is to maintain. The simplicity of the modular construction of the Brio unit makes it very quick and easy to keep the filtration sections clean. We have not yet reached a point of filter replacement but it is obvious to us that the replacement will take a matter of seconds and can be executed by anyone in our home, including our 10-year-old son.
