Industrial Floor Scrubbers
Industrial floor scrubbers handle what commercial machines can't—heavy oil contamination, metal shavings, concrete dust, and the abuse of manufacturing environments. Steel frames, reinforced brush motors, and industrial-grade squeegees survive conditions that destroy standard equipment. These machines clean automotive plants, steel mills, food processing facilities, and heavy manufacturing floors.
We stock industrial scrubbers from Tornado, NaceCare, and Hawk. Built for the harshest cleaning environments.
Industrial vs Commercial Floor Scrubbers
Industrial scrubbers use heavier-gauge steel frames, larger drive motors, and components rated for extreme conditions. Sealed electronics resist moisture and dust. Reinforced tanks handle caustic cleaning chemicals. Higher brush pressure removes embedded contamination.
Commercial scrubbers work fine for retail, healthcare, and office environments. But manufacturing floors with cutting fluid residue, food plants with grease buildup, and warehouses with heavy debris need industrial-grade construction.
The price difference reflects durability. Industrial machines cost more upfront but survive years of abuse that would destroy commercial units in months.
Handling Industrial Contaminants
Oil and grease: Cylindrical brush scrubbers with aggressive bristles break up oil films. Disk scrubbers with degreasing pads work for lighter contamination.
Metal shavings and debris: Pre-sweep before scrubbing, or use a cylindrical scrubber that sweeps and scrubs simultaneously. Metal debris destroys squeegees—empty recovery tanks frequently.
Concrete dust: Common in construction and manufacturing. Industrial scrubbers with high-filtration vacuum systems capture fine particles without clogging.

Sizing Industrial Floor Scrubbers
Industrial facilities often need larger machines than square footage alone suggests. Heavier contamination requires more solution, more aggressive scrubbing, and more frequent recovery tank dumping. A manufacturing floor that could be cleaned with a 20" commercial scrubber might need a 28" industrial unit to handle the soil load efficiently.
